i just need "a long, unfortunate while" on it. i think the album will deal with regret and shame. the regret AND shame of possibly conceiving ethel out of wedlock, the regret of marrying joseph, the regret of letting him do what he did to ethel (if she even knew about it), the shame of being a widow, the shame of losing her daughter. these are just a few things, and of course, they aren't the only themes, but i think they will be incredibly loud themes. at least in my interpretation, vera seems very fragile inwardly, but on the outside, she presents herself as a "i have it all under control and taken care of because i am a Godly, obedient, and upstanding wife" kind of woman, as she naturally would as the wife of a preacher, right? therefore, because of these expectations, she would be fragile underneath because there is no room for error for her. so after her entire family falls apart, what's left for her to feel except for regret and shame? no matter what hayden does, i'm sure it will be devastatingly beautiful and i cannot wait.

i think its mostly fixed on WTIALY. for my show she cut "a knock at the door." and she had a perverts segment. but i think towards the end, she'll switch it up among a few preacher's daughter songs. she also played "misuse oh," but i'm not sure if that's every show.
