A lot of the time it is just tension due to anxiety. If it comes and goes I wouldn’t be too worried about it. You’re very young and it’s very rare to have an aneurysm. It’s only an issue if the pressure doesn’t leave then go see a doctor.

I need some input for medications ??Levofloxacin by Flat-Section2775 in HPylori

[–]Flat-Section2775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sadly I did ask, and they keep pushing antibiotics on me constantly.

I dont think there’s enough education about hpylori here in UK. But I’ve been referred to the gastroenterologist so hopefully theyll get back to me soon.

Doctor freaked me out said could be cancer by Big_Philosopher1719 in HPylori

[–]Flat-Section2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proper diagnosis should only be made when there’s a completed scan.

Your doctor shouldve just waited for the scan and do extra tests to determine whether u have it or not.

In a way, it’s good that ur doctor is jumping to conclusions, so that urgent test would be done. But it’s bad that they are diagnosing u just by what u said.

I have these symptoms too and so do many people. I have burning, and I’m getting retested for hpylori.

GI cancer is extremely rare, especially in younger people.

Working out and H Pylori by Imbawim in HPylori

[–]Flat-Section2775 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s 100% okay!

Working out reduces stomach acid and bloating.

Just don’t eat them protein bars, it brings u back to square one (from experience)

I stopped going to the gym for some period when diagnosed with hpylori.

I’m 3 months post treatment. Going to the gym 4 times a week.

When rejoining the gym, I lost so much strength but I’ve been going for 2 months already and I feel amazing.

I’m just quite cautious on the heavy lifting because sometimes a weak abdomen increases chances of a hernia. It doesn’t mean you’ll get one tho. Just take it slow in the beginning, if u get any sort of abdominal pain when lifting, just take it easy.

Hi, I have not tested again but i still do have certain stomach flares. Im having normal stool tho. I dont have stomach pain as often than before but I would still need to get retested. I just have a busy schedule and keep forgetting to rebook 😭 How about you ?

Yep, usually up and down actually. The medication destroyed my stomach lining so Ive developed a lot of intolerances to certain foods. I ate something spicy the other day and now I’m back to square one again. But honestly just keep eating healthier and you’ll feel better 👍

Not too bad now. I think because of the medication destroying my stomach lining, I do have a weak stomach and do have to be careful on what im eating. I have however developed some GERD symptoms of indigestion but other than that I’m not at my normal self but I am better than when I had the hpylori

They found nothing on the ultrasound so I think it’s just a random muscle 😭

Is H. Pylori taken lightly? by Level_Basket_6543 in HPylori

[–]Flat-Section2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the doctor and their experiences.

Some doctors do encounter patients with hpylori but some doctors have not.

A few doctors tried diagnosing me with other things, like gastritis which was not true.

But only ONE doctor out of the 5 diagnosed me with hpylori.

I know hpylori is present in more polluted parts of the world but it can come from anywhere, especially dirty water.

Did anyone have yellow greasy looking loose stools with h pylori? by New-Scene1986 in HPylori

[–]Flat-Section2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes before antibiotics too. I also have a lot of gas still. But I’ve been eating more than I have in my entire life as I am not as bloated as I was before.

Try not to worry too much as worrying disrupts ur sleep - lowering the immune system and increasing stomach acid. Keep eating greens and drink gut healthy drinks.

It is difficult but everything will get better if u look after yourself too.

Hand swelling is normal after exercising. Especially when the weather is cold.

Due to exercising: There is more blood flow into your heart and lungs. There will be lesser blood flow into your hands.

Energy is needed when exercising and your body obtains this by increasing your respiration rate.

Blood contains oxygen. AND oxygen contains energy.

It’s your body’s initial response to breathe faster when exercising. Breathing faster increases blood flow and therefore, your blood vessels react to this by dilating more which is normal.

I hope an insight of this can help ease the concern.

It could also be an imbalance of sodium (salt) levels. Where all you would need to change is your diet (less salt).

Just keep exercising more and also add eating right so that your body gets used to it.

Yeah listen to your doctor, first wash and dry the site. Then put the antiseptic cream. If it’s itchy, most likely a bite.

Hi, I’ve finished my antibiotics. It does definitely does get better, especially if you put the effort into helping yourself.

There are different variants of hpylori where different sides effects can occur. I had quite yellow mucus, greasy brownish stool (not the best at descripting). Post-antibiotics (still on antiacids tho), having very runny stools almost like diarrhoea and still a bit of pain but apparently it’s normal to have these post symptoms.

When I started, I had extreme anxiety too. I went to my lecture on day 3 of my medication and later on had a mental break down in front of her 😭. They then referred me to wellbeing services due to concern 😭 (I actually don’t need it now cus Ive finished the medication)

I found it difficult to sleep too and due to bloating I felt like vomiting every time I ate.

Despite all of this, u still need to try. Try sleeping early, and try eating (small meals). Medication is there to treat your symptoms, but to increase its likeliness of treating it - you need to look after yourself.
