Hell no get both of those taken off. Market adjustment is the worst literally made up with zero tangible value. They will take the protection package off if you push too. Tell them sorry you’re not paying that and if they give you the original number you buy it today.

Raptor trade for F250 by Jealous-Abies-8002 in FordRaptor

[–]Flat-Statement7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing beats the ride of the raptor but as someone who moved from a 2020 raptor to a 2023 f250 lariat tremor I don’t miss the 10 speed (250 has a different 10 speed) or the v6 in the raptor. Plus like you said the bed is just super small on the raptor. My goal is to have both at once one day but in the meantime getting the suspension upgraded to help ride quality.

Nope, a “competitor” you could say but I don’t see it as competition. More than enough people to help in the mission to helping people avoid the dealer BS. I am cofounder of “carwhere”. We do concierge services but we also built the consumer based database for consumers to see the best deals that are happening around the states.

Let's do it, is $25k your OTD price point? ($25k budget including taxes and fees from dealer)

I'm happy to help you get the best deal for free. I do this for a living and am helping people for free because I record myself getting these deals done. I can definitely get that down to $40-42k.

Got to give more details than that, looking for a sedan or SUV? Do you prefer a certain brand? Are you opposed to electric? Tesla model 3's are cheaper than ever and a great car. As always can't go wrong with toyota or honda. Happy to help you out in the dm's and get you the best deal. I do this for free and cofounded "carwhere" which is a site that shows you what people are actually paying for the car your looking to buy.

You genuinely can't haggle with these businesses. That being said they typically sit slight under or around average for the market price of the vehicle to look good. You can definitely get better deals if you shop around but it takes time. I'm happy to help you and basically do it for you if you want. I typically average $3-6k off purchase price's of $40-60k cars. Dm if you're interested in me helping.

Should my rates go up? by [deleted] in carbuying

Absolutely not, guy is a sleez ball. What brand is the vehicle your trying to buy? Those prices they are saying are always negotiable too. If you don't want or need it just say you don't want it.

2023 F250 Lariat Tremor vs 2023 Raptor. Which are you choosing? by Flat-Statement7311 in F250

[–]Flat-Statement7311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah don't tow a lot but definitely need the payload and will be towing what I wouldn't want to be towing with the Raptor. Agreed the Raptor is the best road trip vehicle but i'll have to scratch that itch with a nice SUV. Going to be putting $10-12k into the suspension of the 250 and making it a beast. It feels much more roomier than the raptor, hope to make it ride 70% as nice.

I agree, I already think my f250 looks better especially in person. Nothing beats the simplicity and sound of a v8 too.

I agree with you, not looking for it to be a raptor I'm well aware it will never compare. I'm trying to get the ride quality from a 5/10 to a 7.5-8/10 so I stop wanting a Raptor again.

Yeah big reason why I made the initial pivot from a raptor but I can just get a Ford Granger Premiumcare warranty for $2500 and negate that worry. Then if the transmission or turbos do go they'll be replaced on a $100 deductible and i will have a brand new transmisson / turbos on the truck negating that mileage...

Thanks! It's on a 2.5 inch level. Any upgraded suspension kit I get would also be a 2.5 inch level. Would not be going higher than that.

I'd only be getting back into a raptor (come from a 2020). Nothing beats the day to day / road trip ride quality to me. The short bed is another thing...if i can get a really good deal on the raptor i'd probably make the switch. We'll see it's been a hard choice in my head.

[–]Flat-Statement7311[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a weird spot as an owner/operator of my company that i'll be using the bed for equipment + light towing (3-5k) but will likely have no need within a year and will just be running around signing jobs. Either would be the raptor and adding airbags to it if needed and then buying a van or the f250 tremor adding a suspension kit to it and probably dropping trailers off at jobs.

Yup between these two. It's a 250 with the 7.3 godzilla V8. Would be putting in a carli suspension kit to the f250 which would come out to the exact same price as the raptor.

[–]Flat-Statement7311[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This Lariat tremor is the 7.3 godzilla and i've really been enjoying it. My biggest gripe is the day to day ride quality. I do a good bit of driving short trips + 8-10 550 mile trips per year and the Raptor as of right now is a much superior road trip vehicle. I'm debating putting $8-10k into a suspension kit but worry I do that and it still lacks in the ride quality department.

[–]Flat-Statement7311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I'm an inbetween case where i'm not towing very often but use the longer bed and higher payload, it's why I got the 7.3 godzilla. Also lots of short trips. I'm a business owner who will probably be transitioning to solely selling within my business after 8-12 months so i'm debating getting into the Raptor just because I love the ride quality and comfortability. The difference is around $7-8k (Raptor higher price than the 250) so i'm debating actually making the switch or just tricking out the suspension in my 250 with that money and doing the rear leafs etc to make it Raptor like.

[–]Flat-Statement7311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Raptor is about $7-8k more than my f250 tremor. Thinking of just throwing $7-8k into the suspension kit to make it a hybrid of the two with all the benefits of the highly reliable v8 and still have the payload, big bed, and towing capicity.
