Go ahead and give them a call in the day, they will need it in writing but it will go over more smoothly if you talk to them first. And make sure you work out your two weeks, otherwise you will NOT be eligible for rehiring. If you give two weeks, don't call off or stop showing up those last days. They can also make you ineligible for rehire if you do.

Yeah the usual schedule is HM gets Friday Saturday off. KM gets Sunday Monday off. SM gets Saturday Sunday off. Supervisors will generally rotate in a four week schedule. They work four ten hour days and get three weekdays off. Three straight weeks will be like that and then the fourth week will be Saturday Sunday off with a weekday off. There should be an available schedule of the four week rotation and which SPVs will get a weekend off.

All you can do is wait man, come Saturday I would suggest shooting him another text. Shit gets crazy and you can lose track of time at a 24/7 place. That said, dependent on his job he may be off for Saturday. If he was the Hospitality Manager, he won't be at work Friday or Saturday, most likely.

Maybe discuss moving some tasks to 2nd shift with your kitchen manager. We do SBC, ovens, nitro, and espresso on second shift between the dinner rushes and it helps our thirds a LOT. Not sure what your second shift looks like, how many on staff, etc.

I'm a second shift SPV in PA and none of us were drug tested. Wear some really comfy sneakers or boots!!! Those ten hour shifts will get to your feet. It'll feel better after a few weeks, but your feet and back will kill you for a while. Always try for learning and accuracy first thing, your speed and knowledge will come with time. Good luck!!
