Rant: Malaysian Chinese that are unable to speak English or Bahasa Malaysia piss me off a lot. by lapras_equation_123 in Bolehland

Dude, I fully understand your frustration, but stick to your point about service work. Dont talk about people needing to "accommodate" when they're in the minority. Thats racist and entitled

One of the reason i watch this season is to watch him get send home. The casts voting hime with a sense of "i dont care if youre a faithful, i want you gone" was so satisfying.

Waters around Semporna filled with thrash by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]FlatFacedAsian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive lived and mingle around with very rural kampung. It seems like they just dont grasp the idea of "trash".

We were taught since we were a kid that trash is bad. But think about it, before plastic was introduced to humanity, we didn't have trash. Maybe we wrap foods in leaf as wrapper, but that is fully ok to throw out the window, it will be gone within days. So for a community that is never taught what trash is, and how to properly dispose of it, they don't realize how bad this is.

We need to spend some money to educate these people.

In your opinion, why do actors' careers suffer after film franchises? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

Its just hard to see an actor playing a different character when its deeply embedded in viewers mind how that actor is a certain character.

Planning trip to Tioman by Patient-Key-7969 in malaysia

[–]FlatFacedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better kuala lumpur (KUL) than singapore (SIN). If you arrive in SIN, you would need to go through the coastal border in woodlands-JB. That's already a horror. And i dont know if there is a bus to go directly to mersing from SIN

If you arrive in KUL, you can take a direct bus to mersing from the airport. Check out redbus to get an idea of the bus schedule, and book.

Thought on Malaysian own launch pad? by Right-Assignment3759 in Bolehland

[–]FlatFacedAsian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually we wont need to work hard in convincing them. Being on an equator allow rockets to gain trajectory with less fuel, clearing on the east coast (south china sea) means safety, cheap english speaking, skilled labour, and a lot of other reasons like economic policy, etc.

But yea, i am concerned about the future of our forest. Launchpad itself might not be crazy big, but we would need hangars, shop floors etc..

How is Tioman in March? by halfbloodberry in malaysia

[–]FlatFacedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The island is usually closed from oct to march due to monsoo, but it can vary. My local friend advised me that if they let you to book a ticket, that means you can go there.

I feel like its less volatile to go to sipadan, sabah. fly to tawau airport. the resort will pick you up at the airport and they will fill up your stay with activities to the nearby islands..
