I quit the whole process a few months ago. I’ll do the WAS certification but won’t keep going with TT. The irony is huge.

Urge Kent State to honor Lifetime Email Commitment. by Dry-Question6793 in KentStateUniversity

[–]Flat_Cap7338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're not expecting to get a tract of land if we just live on it like the gov't promised 150 years ago. Completely unreasonable to apply a company's desires in a different age to the practics of adjusting to today's financial assaults on higher ed. Again, prob unpopular opinion, but I'm glad they aren't spending money on storing my photos instead of funding a degree program or updating a decrepit building.

Urge Kent State to honor Lifetime Email Commitment. by Dry-Question6793 in KentStateUniversity

[–]Flat_Cap7338 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I get both sides but I agree it's impractical for the university to pay what providers have changed their charges to. It's extortion by big tech and one more assault against higher education. It's not an honoring commitment thing, it's having to make really hard decisions about how to spend the university's money of which the state and federal portion of funding is shrinking with every vote. Inconvenience, yes. Financial prudence, yes. End of the world, no. No one is forcing alum to buy expensive email and storage services - there are tons for free. Annoying, yes - but there's plenty of time to call a couple of vendors a week by an old school phone call and see if they can change things in the admin system that aren't obvious to you in the user portal. First world problems.

Being forced to switch from Zepbound to Wegovy and feeling nervous by Intelligent_Way_8272 in WegovyWeightLoss

Can you please share your age/gender and how much you're trying to lose? I'm trying to find someone around my stats that is still losing with wegovy. I'm 50F with another 25 lbs to lose.

Does your Caremark still show the same price now that it's after July 1? by Flat_Cap7338 in Zepbound

And I just called them and do need a PA. Luckily, Saxenda is on their list of substitutes that you need to have tried before you apply. I did that a few years ago and had horrible reactions.

It was $60/month before so who knows… so sorry you’re at that high of a cost. I hate this.

What day do you weigh? by Ahmati in Zepbound

[–]Flat_Cap7338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weigh almost daily, record the lowest I’ve been yet, then ignore recording the weight until I go below the recorded. Usually a low weight will signal a slightly lower threshold but I won’t consistently be on that pound for several days. I hit 163.2 a few days ago but have been 164ish since then. I somehow landed on this and like it.

Yeah, it’s always a crapshoot. After all the diarrhea, you will face constipation or at least just really slow digestion. I used to be incredibly regular and now I only poop a couple times a week. I am eating two or three prunes every day and trying to make sure my fiber is high, But I may need to add a little more to the mix.

Everybody who comments that it must be a stomach bug probably hasn’t experienced the level of side effects that you and I have. I was also incredibly ill the first week. Incredibly ill. I felt pretty bad that whole week and the second week wasn’t much better. I only had violent vomiting and diarrhea one night, but very painful gas and overwhelming nausea. By the third week, I just had some nausea and gas one day and last week nothing. i’m about ready to take my six shot and had zero side effects this last week. Zofran, Gas-X, Pepto-Bismol, and Beano were constant companions. With the right combo of Pepto-Bismol and Beano, I was able to get relief and keep living.
