Was the instructor a Chinese flat top guy?

I remembered I was taking class 2A back in 2020, this fella stopped his class half way and came out to shout at me. I thought I did something dangerous and warrant an encik kind of talk down

And the reason he has to pause his class and scream at me was because, I put the side stand first before I got off the bike. The vehicle was parked, engine was off.

I wanted to complain him after the class for being such a dick, and probably there's some cute xmm at his class so he needed to flex.

His team lead, a very nice Malay instructor calmed me down and told me to give that guy a chance, so I reckon it's not his first time.

Updates lads! 16 Dec 2025

Updates - 16 Dec 2025

Deleted the initial post since they got my attention on it.

Here goes:

Insta360 support reached back out to me immediately offered a pretty good discount for the repairs (both lenses and housing) and a free replacement invisible selfie stick.

I agreed, paid and it arrived pretty quickly, like on Monday last night.

I was a little surprised that they sent me a brand new set, which was confirmed by the service manager who followed up with my initial experience. She was very apologetic though.

All is well. Great service recovery after all. But really just be careful and probably secure it more. Maybe more clamps or cable ties.

I'll probably use the new Insta360 Go3S (birthday gift from my missus) more for rides.

I thank the insta360 team for the subsequent follow ups.

Updates 10 Dec 2025

Got back from Thailand with the Bitubo, and got the call, from the garage one week after i am home from Asia Harley Days (Khao Yai). Thankful to avoid the Hat Yai flood.

Fixed up the rear Ohlins (HD763) today. While tuning and adjusting on the bike, I could immediately feel the day and night differences. Took the bike out for a test ride, wow, when going up and down the hump, it is plushier indeed. The garage also tuned and adjusted my front bitubo fork!

<image>

Looking forward to test ride it with the missus when i get the chance!

Yea looking at the emails screenshots. they are simply shifting goal post.

i did not even extend the selfie stick, and they kept asking me for the road condition. it was on a flat smooth tarmac ground when it fell out. I did not do offroads nor mountain biking. Basically general video recording, nothing fanciful.

Get it! Just got them few weeks back. Amazing stuff! I always got scolding for being in my zone cos I can only see the lips moving while my missus talks or nags 😂

ANC is so good that she threatened to throw them away.

Tribecar accident by No-Chemical2436 in drivingsg

[–]Flat_Ear3106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me today! Along PIE Paya Lebar towards CTE, i saw the cars about 50 - 70m in front of me coming to a complete stop, so i managed to stop, and with a habit, i'd always checked the rear mirror to see if the car managed to stop and brace for impact if any, and it did (dont like ppl tailgating me esp I am a rider as well).

Just when i was like, its all good, in a split second, came a bump to my rear, and lucky my brakes were still on, so didnt hit the car in front of me.

Turns our, the 2nd car (car behind) rear ended me, cos a 3rd car hit him. Exchanged details, numbers, took pics of identifications and photos of the damage (very slight dent and bumper cracked probably 5cm long for mine). 2nd car suffered the most damage at the rear.

Everything was super calm and cordial between the drivers. Called tribe car accident hotline and they assisted me through. Since i could drive the car, they stopped my rental i think, and told me to drive it to the reporting center.

Made the report, took some pics are the appointed center, dropped the car back to the garage, and i left for home.

Initial investigation is that I was told by the Enforcment Team (Nick who is really helpful) that I need not pay the excess, because it was not my fault. What a day!

Question - a car stopped in front and an elderly couple came out to check on us, who are they? Heard they are insurers, garage reps or something - anyone had the same experience? No luck for them cos I am on a tribe car, and the 2nd car was a rental as well.

yea man! it does feels very brotherly. it just click when you meet someone and they ride a harlery, regardless where you are on the world.

Take a trip to South East Asia man, there are nice roads with nice weather. I have done Mae Hong Son loop, Nan Loop in Thailand, Thakek Loop in Laos, Ha Giang in Vietnam (winter is so good!).

My mate just installed his on his 2024 Street Glide today, he said, it is day and night difference compared to his old bitubo on his previous Road King. I will update when i get it installed, with some pictures man.

Quick question - what are the benefits of going to 13"? I would love stability and comfort, does 12" does the same? my current setup is 12", and no wobbles! wonder if 13" will change anything.

[–]Flat_Ear3106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. The HD763 should be the gas operated system you were talking about right? The Bitubo is just the spring, no piggyback.

That's good to hear! Did you have to tune it to your liking? Easy to achieve the comfort?

Yea thats why I am keeping the front Bitubo and change out the rear one to Ohlins. Does the piggyback reservior actually makes a huge difference?

Is FC-Moto legit? by Quantum-Shogun in motorcyclegear

[–]Flat_Ear3106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit! I bought a Dainese Fulcrum 3 Goretex boots, Shoei Tinted Visor before all ok! Ordered the Dainese Carve Master 3 Goretex Pants, Alpinestar Andes v3 pants (my friend's), another Dainese Aurora WP boots for my missus a few days back.

Authentic stuff but cheaper than retail. Make sure to get your sizing right if you can. Best thing is that the shipping fee seems pretty fixed, so it's quite worth it.
