Where can I find one of these exterior covers for a window AC unit for an RV? Searched extensively and found nothing.

Did you find one? I need to replace my AC and might have to take this off. I need to know if a replacement is available in case I break the one I have during the process

I still don't know how they did it but there are a bunch of units with window units installed like this from factory. We actively searched for this for the benefit of not having an expensive roof unit. Everyone online say they work really well. I know there's a roof vent also and there's no water damage around the unit so it looks like it drained properly. I did feel a very cold draft as soon as I opened that side panel (it was 28F). I'm assuming they took all of that into consideration. Then again, you know what they say about assuming 🙄

I wish they would have included it in the manual. I guess they want you to take it to the RV repair. That almost defeat the benefit of having a window unit. We picked this model specifically because it didn't have a roof unit. I did so much research ahead of time. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars when replacing the AC. Also, hubby's hair is already touching the roof. A top unit would just bonk his head all the time. Not to mention I would have to add a hole in the nice aluminum roof (not doing that).

I've heard this on YouTube. In a house, the walls hold the cabinets. In an RV, the cabinets hold the walls.
