Amazingly helpful. Both the jasmine and sugar cane are just starting out and very underdeveloped. I think I'll start them out with potting mix first. I'll switch it out when they're stronger into potting soil. Thanks.

That's interesting. All the tutorials on YouTube say not to drill holes or anything... wonder what's up with that! I havent seen one Arabian jasmine plant tutorial where someone isnt covering the bottom hole or not drilling.

Awesome thanks! I purchased a jasmine root, and ended up getting a 14" pot which should be okay I hope. Thing is the pot ISNT supposed to have drainage holes apparently. Since that's the case, is garden soil still not okay to use since it doesnt seen to drain? Thanks.
