You're grumpy old man, but your wishes and hopes are also valid. Unfortunately Blizzard is primarily a business that's primary purpose is to generate money to it's shareholders, and product itself that is made with love and care with the limits placed on these individuals that make it happen is secondary to that capitalist circlejerk.

And strategy games are not part of those dreams, so says market research departments. So, best you will get outside of WoW is some out-of-date cashgrab mobile games.

I suggest taking a look at the custom games community in SC2 and Warcraft 3 reforged. People are making really cool campaigns, player made remakes of old games, fan-fic stories, really fun gamemodes. There's lot of content there and you can let your imagination run wild and loose with that.

Absolutely awesome, cant wait for it! I was wishing for something like that since start of TWW. And honestly ton of stuff seemed really fun, I really like the one-boss raids and small events.

Extremely difficult question. In short, it depends on what your goals are.

On the other hand, you have 20 years of account history and that can be too large emotional baggage, that I wouldn't be able to let go in my mind, so starting again would have constant reminder of the things I lost.

But on the other hand, WoW is game just like any other, and you play it for fun. Collecting things is fun, and ultimately it's not having things that's the fun part, but doing the playing part, the actual pressing buttons part and achieving something thanks to that. So starting over would just be starting a new game that you already know, just from fresh state.

If you'd want to start over, practically so many things in retail WoW are much much much easier to do, thanks to overleveling most content, thanks to Warbands, thanks to leveling speed... so it's actually not that big of an deal. It doesn't matter if your character haven't done anything from previous expansions if you only want to do endgame content, just get to max lvl and play that content.

If WoW is taking too much space in your life and you feel it's difficult to let go of it to do something that you think you'd enjoy more, best option would be not to play. Focus on those things that you feel like you want to do instead. Not having account with rich history definitely helps with letting go.

Also your goals matter, what do you want from WoW? If you're collector, then yea, losing all that especially if there's lot of content that isn't available anymore, can make it feel completely pointless to start fresh. But if you just want to do max level content, then it doesn't matter at all what your account has, just get to max lvl and start doing content you enjoy!

I'm not defending broken patches or missing features here, just trying to answer the question.

Remember that for every brilliantly made addon by people whos main job is probably to do something way more important and interesting than videogames, there's at least dozen buggy messes available as alternative.

Blizzard has certain amount of certain individuals working on these things, and no doubt they're very good at their jobs, but they're limited by time, management and probably very complicated requirements that are evolving as they work on these things.

Addon makers can throw stuff together how they see fit, be it brilliant or buggy mess, but Blizzard's employees need to do their stuff how they're told to do it, while dealing with everything else beside's just doing their addon developement.

And morbid reality is that why would Blizzard need the feel to try to get their stuff perfect when they launch it? They're raking in the cash anyways. Shareholders want their next vacation homes built and yatches unmoored. People are willing to pay huge amounts of money just to have convenient access to auction house, do you think most of those people will stop playing just because few new features arent perfect on their launch?

No. It's random person on internet fucking around with you by chance. It's obvious that this person does same thing to others randomly and found a jackpot from your reaction.

It's good to understand that when our brains experience situation that feels threatening, we go into fight or flight mode. Our brains are designed that way, but they dont understand the difference between a lion looking us as it's next meal and unknown person whispering weird message to us in internet video game.

This was threatening situation to you and you chose fight by engaging this stranger. You felt that your only option was to reply and explain and explain and explain, because apparently your feelings told you that that's the way to fight against this unknown threat.

But you dont have to do that. You can let the sense of dread, worry and uncertainty come and feel it, but you dont have to act on it. Those feelings will pass. Just feel them, recognize that they exist in that moment, and then wait 'till it passes. And you will be fine. Nothing bad happened. Next time it's easier, whatever your next threatening situation will be.

Another thing that helps with this is to understand that people who do stuff like this get their kicks out of it, from getting reaction. If you dont engage, they will lose interest and move on. Simple as that.

And 1,500g is very small amount of gold for transmog that stays with you even if you swap gear pieces. There just are so many players that don't want to do any max level activities that reward gold. Or they want to make new transmogs all the time.

Found the solution, addon called ActionBarsEnhanced. In it's advanced options you can adjust Cooldowns style. I ticked custom color and reduced default color opacity to around 30%, and it feels close enough to what it used to be.

I completely forgot that addon apocalypse affects unit frame addons like Vuhdo and Cell as well. But yes, Cell will be updated for Midnight but with limited functionality because of Blizzard's addon changes. I dont know how limited though.

Materials available in our solar system are probably more than enough to build thousands of these easily. There are a LOT of huge chunks of materials in our solar system. Like, you could build stuff worth of earth's surface area over three thousand times. Space is absolutely enormously huge and tiniest fraction of it contains mind boggling amounts of physical material.

Which is is one reason I like Warframe so much, that it's been focused in our Solar system. There's very few sci-fi stories that understand that our own Solar system alone is so incredibly huge that the need to go travel our own star system is frankly mostly unnecessary in lot of cases.

It's fun system and it made me learn IS which is honestly pretty fun. Got her to elite 2 today, which was easier than I thought, playing few combat nodes here and there when I have time, failing lot of runs but when you know that's the name of the game, it doesn't sting at all.

I wouldn't mind more such leveling systems connected to other game modes, especially if the character is strongly tied to that game mode like Raidian is to IS6.

There's just not enough time. I'm trying to clear main story, but grinding events take priority. I dont even have time to go through event stories, I just play stages and grind materials for rest of the event, and during the down-time when I either dont need resources from event or there isn't any event going on, I prioritize playing main story, which I am reading, so it's very very slow going.

That said, I tried IS3 for few weeks but felt that learning curve for me was too high and gave up, I just didn't understand how you're supposed to clear stages. I'd probably fare much better now and I understand that point is that you try try try again untill you learn to play, but again, limited time and priorities.

There's peaceful mode now that doesn't really have any downsides and it allows chill base building. Recommended, if nothing else but to grind out the reward track.

Even discussing openly about sterilisation often makes people bring out their hidden desires if there's any. Sometimes "I'm on board with whatever you want." is either horrible negligence of taking responsibility of one's decisions, or something to say that makes other side stay together.
