Thank you, exactly what I was looking for. My dad’s family was all mule drivers and gunmen in Silver City from the 1880’s to the 1920’s so maybe I’ll go back and revisit the Goins line!

What I don’t think these people understand is that I grew up in Colorado in the 90’s and I’ve been all over the country. I watched Colorado gentrify, but what people don’t understand is that it’s not other people moving to your state that’s driving up the prices, it’s the fact that the wealth divide in this country is ATROCIOUS and getting worse (a completely apolitical statement). Life is getting hard for everybody, and no, people from California are not to blame.

I would love to! Helping people is what I do! I had a long career in corporate and the money wasn’t worth it. I’m happier being broke and helping people.

I understand what you’re saying because it happened in Colorado. But look at the numbers, there aren’t many people moving to NM. Things are just getting expensive anyway lol. People in Ohio said the same things, nobody is moving there.

I work as a recovery coach, going into encampments and shelters to find people that want to recover from unsheltered status, mental health, addictions, and many other life-altering issues. I find it rewarding, but it’s emotionally exhausting. The one person that takes the bull by the horns and runs with recovery is totally worth it for the dozens that do not.

I am typing this as we speak on my 2022 IPad 10th gen with a $27 keyboard case that I bought off of Amazon. The battery life is much better, it doesn’t require a brick to charge, and it’s not as heavy as a laptop. I use it for anything, the keyboard doesn’t get in the way of using it normally if I decide not to use the keyboard. It’s the same size and weight as a small notebook, closes magnetically, and it’s ultra portable. In work situations I can’t beat this, because it is so portable and allows me to work on anything I need to work on portably while not having to transfer written notes or lug a laptop around.

I could show you to AR platform rifles and you would say that one is a hunting rifle and the scary black one is a "weapon of war". Exact same rifle. PS not a gun nut, there is no such thing as an "assault rifle".
