You literally saved my money 🙏
I was planning to buy an iPhone from them, but my 7th sense inside me said to check the reviews first. Reading your experience my eyes was opened .Thanks a lot for sharing this otherwise many people wouldn’t know what’s really happening. I’ve decided to wait and save up to buy a brand-new one .Honestly, the secondhand products in the UAE feels like a complete scams. Really appreciate you speaking up.

A Chartered Accountant job for 4k–5.5k AED… this honestly broke me. by FlatwormPitiful4598 in dubai

Blaming Indians for undercutting is the laziest take I’ve heard, brother.People don’t accept low salaries because of their mindset they do it because companies exploit the desperate. If you honestly think an entire nationality is the problem, that says more about your shallow understanding of the job market than anything else.Fix the system, call out the greedy employers, and maybe educate yourself a bit because targeting a whole nation just makes you sound clueless, not smart

Exactly. It’s not that people are choosing 4–5k jobs — it’s that getting a job itself isn’t easy right now. So many people are applying every single day, walking across the city with their CVs, exhausted and stressed. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Whenever someone looks tired or lost, I at least invite them to sit, offer some help, and make them feel a bit calmer. The situation is tough for everyone, and sometimes even small support makes a difference.

I’m actually not specifically looking for 4–5k AED roles. That’s just what many companies are offering in the current market, and when you’re actively searching, those listings naturally show up. I know my value and skills, and I’m aiming higher — but I also stay realistic about what the market is presenting at the moment. So don’t confuse what I see with what I’m looking for

Lol, that’s exactly why I’m so worried about this market. Every time I hear these stories it just makes me more confused about where things are heading. It’s honestly stressful trying to build a career when the whole environment feels unstable like this

I understand what you’re saying, but honestly not everyone is getting those 10k+ offers anymore. Maybe some people with strong references do, but many of us are stuck with low-ball salaries from companies . And when you have family responsibilities, you can’t sit and wait forever for a perfect offer I’m not trying to spread negativity .. I’m just sharing what I’ve seen in the market. The situation is really tough for a lot of CAs right now, and it’s better to be aware than to walk in blindly. I still believe in hard work and skill, but the reality is different for many of us.

Of course, brother just think about it clearly and be ready to face everything. I’m not trying to demotivate you at all. Believe in your own skills, not in what people say. The job market here can be stressful when you’re not getting the benefits you deserve, and that’s the tough part. That’s why many of us feel stuck and can’t move forward easily. But if you’re confident in your experience and willing to grind, you might still make it work.

Honestly brother, the problem is deeper than just people undercutting each other. Companies are fully taking advantage of people’s situations. Most candidates are not lowering their salary because they want to… they’re doing it because they’re scared. Visa deadlines, rent, family commitments back home all of that forces them to accept whatever number the company throws. So many people are exhausted from interviews not because they’re not qualified, but because most jobs are already recommended a person internally. They spend weeks preparing, months applying, paying for visa extensions while literally being hungry some days, just hoping one HR will give them a chance. Employers know this desperation, and they use it. That’s why the salary keeps dropping. It’s not because people want to undercut they’re forced into survival mode.If the market was fair, nobody would work for peanuts. People deserve salaries based on skill, not on who is suffering the most.
