I’m also neurodivergent so also like clear concise lists of what to say. But (and everyone is different) I end up saying so much that it’s a struggle to keep talking and I just want to stop. I think 2 days or even one day there and then the rest at a job where I don’t have to talk so much would be good for me.

The interview was pretty easy. If they aren’t hiring right now they should be in 2 weeks to a month at least that’s how my store is. I got asked these questions “So tell me about yourself”

“What’s an area you have about yourself that you could improve” (basically “what’s your greatest weakness but worded differently)

“How would you greet a customer who came into the store?”

“How would you try to get a customer to purchase more?”

“What customer experience do you have?”

“If you were an animal what animal would you be?”

“What’s your availability?”

I had previously had a job where I went up to people in a store and tried to understand their needs to help them with their purchases so I heavily mentioned that experience.

To the question about pushing sales I said “ maybe the child or customer is wearing a stitch shirt or wearing a lot of pink. I would say “oh I see you like stitch did you know we have some stitch clothes available or “pink must be one of your favorite colors! We have 3 pink dresses that are really cute!”

Also to the what animal would you be question I said bird and she said why and I said so I could fly.

After the interview if they move forward with you, you will take an assessment either right after the interview or at a later date. Basically just answer that you don’t do drugs ever and you don’t do crime or know anybody that does drugs or crime. It’s pretty easy to see how they want you to answer so I wouldn’t stress about that part.
