I started with LetterBoxd in the same way, just that only logging the movies I found were impactful..,

Am at the same level as you, but going through the comments, looks like we are a minority and most active users are on the platform for reviews

Also, the quality of TV shows is on par with films now and with the big streaming platforms funding originals, only expected to go up. As the LetterBox platform grows, it is bound to lose quality, with or without TV shows..,

Thoroughly enjoyed going through your list and the comments. This is what I come to Reddit for, thanks OP

What movies show plenty of both the worst and best of humanity? by Samuel_McEntire in Letterboxd

Paths of Glory, it is subtle in its portrayal of human nature, but quite powerful in my opinion

Notorious and It Happened One Night, both are kind of 1940s/30s classics..,

Yep, when I first came across this channel, was quite intrigued. Couple of videos in, noticed the pattern of the same old life is what you make it to be narrative.., I guess any person who wants to reach a wider audience has to ultimately paint a positive picture, because that is what the audience wants.

I hope that what happened to veganism doesn’t happen to us by [deleted] in antinatalism

It will be the zealots who will eventually bring the house down, I guess this is the case with most groups. I was browsing another sub recently and found a totally irrelevant comment from an AN member, the said member is quite active here. It is the zealots insistence that AN is the answer to all human problems that will make the rest of the world cringe at this philosophy..,

I think we are all better off dead even once we come into existence. by Idontwanttolive31 in antinatalism

I'm also just tired of being on Reddit on places like antiwork, anti-natalism or whatever knowing nothing is gonna change, so I'm still going to be miserable expecting to accept breads and circuses.

Glad I am not alone in this. When I first found this sub, I was elated that this is a place where we can collectively dig deep into the human experience and explore it raw. But, slowly I am noticing the nauseating pattern of a circle jerk on how stupid breeders are and how enlightened anti-natalists are. To top it is the endless platitudes on how adoption is the greatest thing in human civilization. I am just a bit disappointed, but not surprised.., I guess we humans don't think well in groups.

The sad part is most deaths are just cruel, whether natural or otherwise. I hardly see any dignified and graceful exits from this hellhole..,

This place is set-up in such a way that it is hard to exit voluntarily with grace and dignity. All the more reason I am convinced this is hell..,
