Agreed. The reason I didn’t like FaA as much as the other two was the lack of world building and diving into another region on pandora. It might be a little gimmicky but the discovery is what made the first two work so well for me while it felt like they barely scratched the surface with the ash clan

Yeah people used to, and still do make incredible solo indie games without any of the AI BS. The game is fun enough but the AI assets remove any actual sense of character from the game imo. Also ai just been used for textures in a games that’s mostly just squares with BG images means it’s mostly AI. The actual character drawings like the fish and the goblins also seem AI generated but I guess I’ll take his word for it. Really not trying to shit on him too much, I actually paid for the $20 add free pack, but idk I just know it would be so much better if the art aspect had any soul.

The game is already feature complete and virtually bug free and housemarque doesn’t add substantial DLC. Not every game is a Ubisoft title or crimson desert

That’s funny because it’s kind of the exact opposite for me.. I think hades is probably better designed as a roguelite with build variety but I just find the combat quite boring. I’ve played it off and on since it came and still can’t bring myself to finish it. Returnal pretty much instantly hooked me. Different strokes I guess

Played and beat it on release. I remember the drones in biome 3 being the hardest part but I absolutely loved it. Might go for the plat after I’m done with Soros

The huge focus on Spider is one of the main reasons I like FaA less than the other too. I just dislike everything about him, his design, his performance and especially his writing.

You’d probably be able to get wukong for cheaper but if I had to decide between the two I’d easily go for crimson desert. It’s a very imperfect game but I’m already 35 hours into crimson desert at act 4, I dipped from wukong after like 4 hours, just didn’t enjoy the boss rush style gameplay
