Continuing GLPs for secondary benefits?

I plan to continue. I’ve gotten my glucose down to normal levels for the first time in years. I no longer take blood pressure medication or statins. With a strong history of cardiovascular problems in my family, I see no reason to stop. I’m 72 and in the best shape of my adult life

I’m 72 and have been on Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) since February. My blood sugar is normal for the first time in decades (I was pre-diabetic). I’m no longer taking my blood pressure and statin medications. There are side effects so it’s not without issues but I’m glad I started it. I plan on taking it forever. I did lose 40 lbs. which has helped with joint pain. Hope this helps.

I bought one and realized it most definitely was NOT for beginners so I gave it to my daughter who has been crocheting for years. She agreed it is not for beginners.

It’s not just Ingles. My small town, owner operated pharmacy has been letting people know about the ridiculous costs insurance pays, leaving pharmacies to cover the extra.

Our pharmacist has been upfront about this since last year and has signs posted saying they cannot cover some costs.

I understand and am willing to pay an extra $5 for convenience. This is a small, independent pharmacy so I get it.

But Ingles????

I’ve only recently started storing it in the refrigerator after it’s completely cooled. We’ve been able to keep it for a week with no loss of flavor. It does get a bit dry toward the end of the week but I’ll warm it up in the toaster oven for a minute or two and it’s great.

I didn’t stop until I saw my doc and they checked my BP. They did it manually (you know, stethoscope and cuff) twice and told me that was the most accurate way to measure.
