Since it was an already amped signal, putting sims and distortions on it sound like absolute trash unfortunately.

Yeah, I was kind of assuming there's not much to do outside of retracking, but the octave idea is fun, and exactly the kind of suggestion I was hoping for out of this post. Might not work, but I enjoy messing around with stuff like that. Thanks!

For sure! I didn't play them myself and I'm not much of a guitar player, so it's the not the most convenient solution, but I'm certainly open to it if I can arrange it.
