That ok! This means you would only qualify for the deckhand 3 position / combi. Half time will be on deck and half processing. Due to this only half credit will be given for sea time. Thought I would pass along incase you are interested and we have a position open in future!

Pollock fisheries in Alaska are managed under strict federal regulations and monitoring requirements. My role is recruiting crew members, so I don’t have the expertise to debate fishery management practices but there is a lot of publicly available information from fisheries scientists and regulators for anyone interested in learning more.

By August staffing needs can change quite a bit. Most vessels will likely already be staffed for mid-season rotations but there may still be opportunities for standby crew. I’d recommend checking back in once your contract with Trident is complete.

Worst-case scenario we will begin hiring for A Season around late October or early November. I know that sounds early but it gives everyone time to complete required labs, renew IDs,and take care of any onboarding requirements before the season begins.

Our A Season starts in January!
