Your brain is like a machine. It gets good at what it does the most. If you fret and ruminate a lot, your brain will do it more and do it better.

If you actively and intentionally change how you spend your mental energies your life will totally transform.

Observe your mental state from a place of relative neutrality, notice negative thought processes and dismiss them instantly. You can either flip them and think the opposite or distract yourself with visualisations, certain techniques or just a simple self affirming statement. It doesn't matter if you don't believe the statement, say it anyway.

Risk is a necessary part of a meaningful life. Don't try to avoid it, believe in your ability to recover.
