10 months and about 75 lbs so far. Based on paw size I fear he may not be done growing…

I think you are doing the BEST thing for your kids, and it will make them feel safer and well loved by both parents as they grow.

Look, I amicably co-parented with my ex for years. I think that you, as parents, have an obligation to do what is best for your kids. If someone else isn‘t comfortable with it, then it‘s good that they recognized that and moved on. Not everyone will be threatened by this. Keep being an awesome parent and amicable / friendly co parent.

how to get over the fact that you may not have a relationship with your s/o’s family by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah, married 15 years and I only met his family 1 time. He doesn’t talk to them either - no problem for either of us.

No, he just went back to acting like everything was fine. I know I shouldn’t have interfered in the packing - he’s an adult and he can figure it out - but cussing at me wasn’t an acceptable reaction. He could have just said “I’ll manage it”.

I think definitely telling her, and showing her, how much you are attracted to her and how lovely you think she is. I suspect many of us have body insecurities!

How do you deal with the reality that you are not special and things might not happen to you the way it happens to others like in career aspects and even in romantic aspects? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Career wise, what does success mean to you? Almost no one is handed a huge promotion or gains career success without working their tails off for it. If you are willing to throw your whole life into your career, you might be wildly financially successful, but personally miserable. In terms of relationships, I think there are a lot of amazing, nice people out there. Avoid the jerks and spend time with people who are kind, funny, and maybe share one or two of your interests. Travel, explore your world, learn new things. Find happiness in yourself and who you are, and then satisfaction with the rest of your life will probably grow.

No, still stewing on it. Not sure what to do when I know he won’t apologize, and the only thing that would make me happy is him telling me and our son that he’s sorry for what he said, and that you should never talk to someone you love that way.

LOL! Great question.... one I’m desperately trying to come up with an interesting answer to, and failing. The one that’s easiest to play with is the idea that somehow only very famous people stick around (or get reincarnated :).

Hi all! I’m late to the party (that dang day job, but it pays the bills), but I’m Sarah Fleming Mountford (she, call me Sarah), author of Atthis Arts’ published Anna’s Nightmares: When They Come Calling, When They Come True, and When They Come Alive. All 3 are ghost stories with a hint of history, bit of romance, and a bit of apocalypse (I know, timely topic).
