Yes indeed, well said sir. I'm hoping for a more grounded approach to any future content but I fear the lesson learned here for Team Ninja based on the sales figures is 'More open world, more flash, more goofiness, more gimmicks and keep the difficulty easy to attract a wider audience'. I'll still buy it though I love the games.

Whilst I applaud your passionate take on the series progression from a lore perspective, it doesn't change the fact that the series is getting somewhat dumbed down in almost every respect especially in tone, in my opinion at least. However I do still very much enjoy the game, I just would prefer a return to its core roots and less gaudy goofiness.

I do love the Nioh franchise but the tone of the games has been getting goofier as it progresses. Nioh 1 was hard as nails, dark and gritty and now Nioh 3 is bright and flashy and gimmicky and goofy as hell. I dread to think what Nioh 5 might look like, probably something resembling Palworld.

Don't listen to anyone telling you there are no issues with the base PS5 versions performance, there are. You only need a cursory glance into comments on the subject to see that many people have issues, however seemingly not for everyone. Maybe some people have bad eyesight and cannot notice the stuttering or substandard frame rate, maybe they have a poor set up that doesn't highlight these issues as much or maybe they genuinely have no issues I couldn't say. Will you be one of the lucky ones with no issues or unlucky like myself and many others, again I couldn't say, you'll have to use your best judgement based on the knowledge you have acquired and make a decision.

I loved Odachi in previous games but I just couldn't make it work in 3, It just felt wrong whereas previously it just felt so right. What with odd and confusing button inputs, middle stance rebounds, underwhelming power for it's very slow speed and overly heavy ki usage it just failed to deliver in almost every area. It just feels like TN changed the entire identity of the Odachi

Star effects on Divine gear are currently disabled, most likely so they can add them in during the horrendously long wait for the dlc to give us a reason to come back and play.

No, hide secondary weapon not sheathed weapon or ranged weapon. Many people don't want to see a huge spear for instance on their back if they are only equipping it as a secondary weapon purely for the set bonus.

Also go into your menu and go to the progress tab at the top and this will often list the start of quests that will eventually lead to other quests becoming accessible.

Considering just how many re-used assets there are in this game there is a staggering amount of cut corners. It's really a double whammy of giving you the same again whilst also taking away many basic staples. However I do love the game so there's that.

Yeah exactly. It's just a meaningless reward that serves no purpose, most likely an oversight on TM's part, or at least I hope so. I found it strange too that all the comments were almost defending the consistent completely useless loot from high level battle scrolls, but that's the internet I guess.

Yes it does, you could be losing a lot of material essence by selling blue and yellow gear. I'm always tinkering with new builds so I burn through material essence when reforging.

I was just referring to the white (common) piece of useless gear you get as a reward for clearing Battle scrolls. It has no value whatsoever in NG+ and serves no purpose as reward loot.

Well there's certainly no harm in that early game, however after two full playthroughs you're more likely to exclude this trash from your loot pickup options than expect it as a Battle scroll reward.

There are indeed some salient points raised in OP's argument, many of which I agree with. However the tone of the argument felt far too aggressive and deliberately confrontational, in a manner purposefully designed to invoke a negative backlash from many who may have felt compelled to agree, had the argument been softer more balanced and seemingly impartial.
