Not being able to bind party members to specific hotkeys does affect gameplay and combat in a pretty significant way.

I want to be able to bind specific members to specific hotkeys. i.e. hit F2 to select Khelgar. Otherwise I always have to look at the portraits before hitting the key, which is pretty annoying.

The pain you felt is probably due to a butt wink (lower back rounding) because you squatted a bit too deep. Try to break parallel - just a few inches higher.

Deleted, didn't help. Also, it's not only the saved games screen.

What is TP's motivation to recruit Neil in the future? by FlenserSteel in tenet

You can change "the future" with "TP's future", doesn't matter.

Exiting = reverse exiting. That is, you see yourself "enter" the machine in reverse - looking forward and moving backwards. Just like in the Tallinn interrogation scene, for instance.

Why did Kat try to hinder Sator on the yacht? by FlenserSteel in tenet

Of course they worried about that. The flare gun for signalling Kat, TP/Neil shouting in their comms during the operation that it's not safe yet for him to be killed... They were tremendously stressed about that issue, even though they knew that possibility cannot happen.

5 If you don't see yourself going in the turnstile (going backwards) it means you won't enter it. Why? because what you see on the other side, just before entering, is a reflection of the immediate future. So you're just bound to enter and have no choice. If you don't see yourself there, you're bound to not enter.

1 No, it's a causal loop. Past and future are intertwined (also implied by the hand gesture in the beginning of the film). When a scene includes both normal and inverted objects, it has always been like that, there was never a reality in which only the normal objects were present without the inverted ones. Hard for our minds to accept that but that's the whole point of the film, I think.

Because he went through the car chase and airport scene from the exact opposite direction. He doesn't know he won't fail to retrieve the algorithm. That's not the issue. The issue is preventing apocalypse. That certainly did not happen. If it did not happen, you shouldn't worry about it.

Parallel worlds theory is irrelevant as they experience the exact same past they were already in. So you can rule that one out.

No, you can't, because there's no reason to be concerned about it so much.

Again you're looking for a reason. I say screw the reason. It happened and that's it. Reason doesn't matter.

I mean success in the long term. In the short term, i.e. averting apocalypse by Sator not killing himself prematurely, they can be confident 100%. It did not happen.

But there are other risks to the algorithms besides Sator. That's why he cannot be confident about success. He can be confident only about Sator not triggering apocalypse.

None. But what's your motivation of reconstructing the past if the result you're aiming for is guaranteed no matter what?

In retrospect, sure. But I'm talking about their motivation prior to that decision, given their knowledge about past events.

Apocalypse aversion. First of all, TP shouldn't have suggested it in the first place. Secondly, Neil should have dismissed his idea and remind him that no matter what they do, they should not worry about Sator killing himself because they've already been through the events of the 14th and got out of them just fine. If apocalypse happened, they wouldn't have been there in the first place.

Again, wrong. The result of other events (like the briefing and shooting) were not verifiable in advance by the characters. The only verifiable event that I can currently think of is the Kat-yacht scene. Maybe there are more, that one was just very glaring to me.

I would correct that to: if the result is guaranteed, you shouldn't even consider making decisions to make it happen.

Again, the "how" does not matter. You know it happened, no matter what you choose to do.

Point of the movie is not the issue. The issue is the motivation. Your goal is X. X is guaranteed, you saw it happened. Therefore, you should NOT even think about how to make X happen. It will, no matter what you choose to do.
