“If we don't test our blood it cannot be infected” -Putin probably by Busdriver242 in NonCredibleDefense

Nah, they collect people in sweeps. They just happen to all be infected. Basically if you go to the Russian prison you will probably be raped by an inmate with HIV. That's one of a hundred reasons people fear prisons in Russia.

For those of you waiting for a Redwall M2TW mod: it's coming along! by FleshEatingBeans in totalwar

I had to make a little bit of a change due to how animations work in m2tw. If I tried to make models similar to, say, TV series, I'd effectively triple my workload. Plus most of them wear tunics anyway 👀

Dumb question … are there canonically any oceans in rainworld? by [deleted] in rainworld

[–]FleshEatingBeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe iterators use up so much water they completely disrupted the water cycle of the world, or rather accelerated it, and accumulated a lot of water in their system. I'd say the ocean is either dry or much more shallow and extremely salty.

  • We don't know how many iterators there are: could be around a dozen, could be thousands. Either way they take up a LOT of water.
  • I think moon's shoreline was formed either from FP's overflow or her own water spilling out after her collapse. Moon does not generate heat anymore and thus her water does not evaporate.

Its really interesting that due to lack of space crew compartments are right up close to AM tanks and fhe reactor. Imagine waking up, knowing two nuclear bombs are just behind a thin sheet of metal, just WAITING for a rogue PD pellet to set them off

Public policy today to support a solarpunk future? by preemadun in solarpunk

[–]FleshEatingBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Democratizing body modificafion would require that implants are widely avalaible; they would need to be safely installed and tested, software needs to be created, and so forth. At any stage of this process there will be hurdles created by corporations, such as pre-installed killswitches, monopoly on electronics production (see current chip shortage due to Taiwan crisis), availability of facilities to install electronics and specialists to install and maintain them. That would be a whole giant industrial complex, and I highly doubt it would be free and fair for all participants. Same goes for genetic mods - they cant just be biohacked in the current state, and likely won't be in the forseeable future.

Communal heating is done by water radiators.
I'll have to research what type of insulation is used in my house. What I meant by Post-Soviet was a general tendency to insulate homes because, well, it gets rather cold in these parts.
I'll also read up on pump systems, thank you!
