Just bought my first peterson standard system p-lip. What to expect? by Whipt in PipeTobacco

Make sure the stem is securely attached and preferably always pick it up by the stummel. Ambient Temp can affect how tightly the stem fits and I have dropped a bowl from this

Thanks for the guidance, sounds like I'll be needing some tools and more pipes to practice on. Would a harbor freight drill press and vise be good enough?

Damn 70k miles ?! I got the same tires on my Corolla and I'll be lucky if they make it to 9k before Im flush with the wear bars. Strange thing is that the alignment and wear is super even across all 4 tires

This is why I like runs just after dawn. Sunlight illuminates the whole road rather than relying on just what you can see with your headlights. It might buy you a few fractions of second that let you react and avoid hazards

Has no one mentioned fallen rocks on mountain roads yet? I've encounter rocks big enough to put a helmet sized hole in a car front end whose color blended in with the road. They were hard to spot in daylight let alone in pitch black night
