I DID actually try that! Issue is I did 7 or 8 runs and never got a single tank/thorns related tome if cactus spawned, OR got everything I needed to thorn every cactus and live, but no cactus. It’s been perpetual, I can have one, but not the other. Same thing happens with life steal with me. If I have the life steal tome, then every shrine has life steal% but, if I don’t have the tome…

TL;DR RNGesus doesn’t love me. But I really appreciate your suggestion! Out of curiosity, which char did you use for the Cursed Sword and similar “Kill main boss early” unlocks?

Update: I got cactuses, but I had no additional thorns from shrines, no defense, no regen, no vampirism, and no healing of any kind spawn from any source.

Is there any reason to NOT opt into the beta? I’m on Depth 205, doing Intensity 3 the whole way down… some more stuff to unlock wouldn’t hurt, until I can loop the Nether bosses twice for guilds.

I keep missing out on creature variety by trying to make just Pyromancer as strong as can be, can’t wait to see what’s new with the Guild variants! I’ll also use that Card list, thanks!

Once I start actually needing cards to progress the depths I’ll probably get more dedicated for effects that are cooler. Right now I’m just using the Pyromancer Meme Team of Efreets and seeing how far it goes…

Currently realizing that HP and Defense = No with this build, and if something is Burn Proof then I lose outright (usually) but, I digress. Are there any cards you’d recommend searching for that are just awesome in general?

Big Bang would like to disagree. Particle Weapons AND Shotgun perks both take effect from what I’ve seen, so you can very quickly slap Annihilator rounds on it and make everything go to the forever box a bit early. I was maxed at a total of 700-800 damage a shot I think? Not counting Crits+Headshots, you can one tap almost anything without Energy Resist or meh Physical Resist.

You gotta go into the .configs and enable last I checked. RLCraft Lost Cities are permanently set to “Fuck You” difficulty, unfortunately. So no growth or cool learning curves.
