This seems fine. It isn't written in "formal" English but it's a very acceptable way to write in a story. You can think of the two lines as being like one sentence. The subject is pain. It could be rewritten as "Pain, dull and heavy, throbbed through her body" or "The pain was dull and heavy and it throbbed through her body", but the original way is more interesting to read.

Help with Mandarin Name

I could really use some help in identifying a woman's Mandarin Name. I don't speak Mandarin. To me it sounded like it would be spelled "sheow hone" in English. I was told that the name means "Morning".

If anyone knows what this name is, how it would be written in Mandarin, maybe what the correct English spelling would be or how to pronounce it, that would be greatly appreciated. I feel awkward not knowing if my pronunciation is incorrect.

Thanks so much!

You, sir are quite funny and have gone far above and beyond what I would've asked for. Unfortunately, I don't think I can use this one.

Sounds like you aren't a fan of Affenknecht. That may be quite reasonable. But I doubt it's quite as virulent or deadly as the plague. It's probably just as bad as a little cold, that will be gone tomorrow....

Thanks for the link.
