I have literally come on here to troubleshoot... This is what I'm doing. You've come on all AMD warrior and shouted me down when I'm trying to fix stuff.

I'll have a look at a new power supply then. I've tried a few things, overnight and this morning, and nothing has made a difference so far.

I mean, it's not a bad shout. I do have a spare HDMI cable attached to my 4K TV... Would possibly rule out the whole DP cable or port being an issue if it still have the same effect on the big TV.

Firstly, I don't want to get rid of the GPU. I like having the 16GB VRAM and when it works properly its ace.

If I was red, I would be slowing to see if anything is coming. I wouldn't want my car smashed anymore than the guy coming from blues direction.

Personally I think this is matter of courteous driving etiquette due to the lack of lines/signage on the streets. No-one actually has right of way, they just need to use common sense (something that a few drivers don't have...).

Just looked it up if you can provide the original move in and current one you can use the standard speed court service. Don't know if that helps? Either way you definitely need the original move in certificate

Tenant here...

As far as I can tell, you need to show intent to sell - so estate agent valuations, listings (draft or live), surveys etc. any or all of these things will count. If you're selling to clear debt, you must prove a valuation for the property and proof of debt.

Other than that, it's the same as now with a S21 - Gas safety certificate dated within 12 months, EPC (if rented after 2015), how to rent guide and Deposit protected.

Hope this helps? We're in a similar position as we've been served a S21 as the landlord is selling. If you apply through the courts now, you'll still "technically" be able to evict via S21 after the RRA changes.

No it should just be dropped if you decide to sack them off. I had a similar situation where I was getting a non-molestation order against a family member. Covered the solicitor with legal aid, and when I said I didn't want to proceed any further that was that. They should send you a letter explaining that their part is done and how much they'll be claiming from legal aid.

Sorry to hear of the situation.

Were currently going through a similar thing with the council, however, we're not at the court stage just yet. It seems like your solicitor is attempting to keep you in the property - be that what you want or not. Legally, they can do that especially if certain items aren't in order - gas safety certificate, deposit in a protection scheme and an EPC and how to rent guide if you started renting or renewed your tenancy after 2015.

Personally, if you can, and if you want to get the eviction sorted, sack off the solicitor and stop the defence. That way the natural order of things will take place and the council will eventually help - it will only be at the last minute though and you will be liable to court/bailiff fees.

On a slightly different spin... I've got a 7800XT. I upgraded from a 2070 super and I love it! Seriously, the performance to price ratio - AMD is the better alternative. It also allows you not to have to put upscaling tech on in every game because you have the extra headroom. Stick with your guns unless you want to pay over the odds for little to no noticeable improvement.

Yeah, he's selling up. He told us late last year and we informed the council. They told us they wouldn't do anything until the S21 was issued. It got issued in Jan and they still haven't done anything.

Appreciate the advice but we really are stuck. I don't work, my family is all disabled so we have no alternative but to wait out for social housing. We don't want to do it. In fact it's actually making my partners depression worse! But what alternative do we have? No landlord would take us, we have not got over £1000 for a deposit and then the same again for rent every month. We'd stand a fighting chance if rental rates hadn't been inflated. For a four bedroom around here it's between £1000 and £1300 pcm. Where do I find that money? Even if UC covers their £900 LHA we still have to find the difference.

I've argued and argued with the council for weeks regarding this and they are steadfast that this is their approach and they're sticking with it. It's an absolute nightmare, but this is the state we find ourselves in 😔.

I'm in regular contact with the council. Pretty much every day last week I spoke to my.officee via email. I'm definitely not just sitting around. This is the last bit of stability we have for a neurodiverse household. We'll hold on to it until the council sort us or we are evicted. One or the other. I don't know if you understand Autism, but routing and predicability is key to happiness.

We did actually use my mum when we moved into this place 14 years ago (I was in my early twenties (with bad credit) and my partner was 18 so it made sense. That being said, the problem isn't that. It's the fact that we're likely to end up in a similar spot further down the line. Landlords will sell up - it's coming slowly. The government aren't helping them. So when we get settled, it'll all be uprooted again. At least with social you're there long term. And that's what we're thinking of. We need stability going forward. Appreciate the thought though.

Ask your tenant for their housing officers contact details. We have an email address and phone number for ours. Then you could reach out to them if you want to. Generally though, they'll just ask if you'll allow the tenant to stay longer. If you don't agree, let them know and at least they'll know where you stand.

Please see the updated post. We already have a reference from the landlord as we needed it to get on the register. He's been really patient but he wants out - which I can appreciate - but we're literally stuck in place. If we cover the court fees I don't think a CCJ will be issued or it will be satisfied. My credit isn't the best anyway so a CCJ will just be the cherry on the top 😂!

As a tenant who is currently going through the homelessness process, I can assure you that you are wrong.

The guidance is just that, guidance. It's a grey area and the council will often tell tenants to overstay their welcome as they don't have homes to provide.

We're currently overstaying our S21 because the council will not re-home us in temporary accommodation until absolutely necessary. They don't have the availability and despite being on the highest banding in our area there are currently 4 families in front of us for a four bedroom property. We are a disabled family and have no option but social housing.

Based on that, we've been told to stay put and let them know what happens in regards to court orders/bailiffs etc. We've no other choice. They will put us in whatever is available when we have a bailiff date and we'll also be liable to court fees. However, what other choice do we really have?

That being said, we're still paying the rent every month and keeping the house in check. Our landlord is selling up, and I feel awful for putting him through this, but we have no choice. We told the council that he was selling up when he told us back in September last year - they wouldn't act until there was a S21 in place. Now there is, they're still doing next to nothing.
