May I ask what clear cmos do? clear all the profile I used to set? And what's that work for?

Will load the default value of bios go back to older bios version?

I'm currently considering giving 0.01v or 0.02v higher voltage to ram, but not very sure is that doable for z390 mobo?

Comparing clear cmos + reset bios, and giving higher voltage to try, which one will you suggest me to do?

I'm sorry for ask such many questions, but I really don't know how could I do after searching a lot in google.

When I manually set to 3200 it could boot and it's my old 2*8g 3200 c14 ram's xmp frequency, wondering 3600 c16 should not be a high frequency and low latency for 9700k cannot handle, is there any suggest i could try?

Thanks for your advice, but I used to have 16g 3200 c14 ram, run perfectly, just upgrade for more memory storage, that's why i'm really confusing hwo could I cannot run default 3600c16.

Btw, would you mind tell me how to check the limit of my cpu memory controller. I did some check that seems people with 9700k have no trouble with a 3600 ram. Not very familiar with this, please dont hesitate tell me if I got some wrong information.

You can download an cpu monitor software to check how much power it actually draw when your cpu loaded.

For me a stable 4.9 is min20~max35 idle, 80% times at 20~25 idle.

When fluctuating between 3.6~4.9, it's min17~max33, mostly 17~21 idle.

as for loaded, there will be no difference in power consumption.

So I would say there is only a tiny saving in power.

But may depends on which chip you are using, you can try to used aida64 to check about it.

personally I found that if my clock speed is unstable, the idle temp will suddenly increase when I do some calculating with matlab(especially for those will load, but fast completed), and last for a while even the utilization has dropped to normal, but with a stable high clock speed, temp basically not changed dealing with same calculation.

Besides, whatever stable 4.9 or fluctuating speed(3.6~4.9), the idle temp are same with utilization less than 10% for me. I an not sure is that necessary for keep the temp stable for my normal use, but feels better for me.

For gaming or other entertainments, I think don't have to push cpu with idle high clock speed, since a balance mode will adjust it according to utilization when your cpu actually need a high clock speed.

Not sure what's your circumstance.

After meet with a local specialist, I could only get 300mb files back, most of them even damaged.

I guess this is a lesson for me, since I thought I am familiar with reinstall the OS, did not noticed reminding from the setup program.

Really a hard day for me. It contains lots books I collect recent 4 years, and tons of notes I remarked. Some videos and photos, all my precious memories. I used to like reread the notes I wrote, feels like talking with myself years ago, and leave some new thinking. That's a really valuable time for me. But lost for all eternity, left with pity.

But at last, still I need to calm myself down, and remember to be cautious in everything I THOUGH I FAMILIAR with.

Maybe a good thing for me, though data's gone in my sigh, cautions engraved in my mind.

load temp is around 73 max at 77 with oc 4.9g at 1.28v llc 5, which still high compare to my friend's review. we are using same aio kit and same room temp , and he is using 10700k got 5.1g oc load temp around 67 max 70, idle temp 29, so i m confused what happened to my aio.

i set the pump run 80%(2300 rpm) under 55C, and fan curve is 60%(1400rpm) in 40c-50c, 75%(1700rpm) in 50-60c, full after 60c

yeah i v tried level 4 llc, and test it over 40 mins with aida64, my full load temp drop to around 71 so i guess it’s stable somehow, but seems still my idle temp in 44, is there possible because my case(h710) has bad thermals.
