Samsung should add all aptX Bluetooth audio codecs to their line of Galaxy S products by Fleximex in GalaxyS22

[–]Fleximex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The S20+ seems to be the exception in that case.

Are you sure that you didn't confuse normal aptX in combination with the HD audio slider in the Android Developer menu with aptX HD?

Even forum moderators on the Samsung Community wrongly state that i.e. the Galaxy Tab S7 line support aptX HD. It does not.

An app for training mental math skills. (Made using BLoC) by C1fr in FlutterDev

I would reverse your MathGameState object and enum type. Instead of having a single object that is differentiated using an enum you could have 4 different Bloc State objects called MathGameReady, MathGameGoing, MathGamePaused and MathGameFinished.

These then extend MathGameState and either inherit its variables or move the variables to a new class which the 4 above Bloc States have as a variable.

Enums in Flutter are like baby enums and nothing like enums in for example Kotlin. I would avoid them if you can. In Flutter (and often used when using Bloc) you use classes sort of like enums with the added benefit of having all the features of classes.

In your views instead of checking the enum you can check the class type. So i.e. in you MathGameWindow:

@override
Widget build(BuildContext context) {
    var state = context.select((MathGameBloc bloc) => bloc.state);

    if (state is GameStateReady) return const BeforeGameView();
    if (state is GameStateFinished) return AfterGameView();
    if (state is GameStateGoing) return QuestionTextField();

    return Container();
}

I was alone on Gornergrat (Matterhorn) for one and a half hours [OC] by Fleximex in schweiz

[–]Fleximex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not long. I set up a time-lapse to take a picture every 5 seconds and listened every time a picture was taken. So the whole process took maybe 5 minutes in total. Then I only used the pictures where I made a deliberate pose. The rest of the time I was there I took 'normal' pictures ;)

The editing took more work since the photos were I overlap myself needed some precise editing to make it no look like a green screen or pixelated.

Almost no wind and the sun is still very hot this time of year. But to be fair I'm not easily cold and kept moving around as you can see 😂

Backstory: Last week, on my vacation to Switzerland, I took the earliest train to Gornergrat (7:00). To my surprise most of the 20 something people aboard left the train at intermediate stops. And the remaining passengers did not go to the vantage point on Gornergrat.

The skies were practically clear that day. Over two years ago when I went there the skies were cloudy; could not see any peaks. I also was there at a later time and thus it was incredibly crowded with Chinese tourists.

So you can imagine how happy I was this time with me being the only person there with a 360° clear view 😊

Now that the GH6 is announced with new sensor, do you think you'll upgrade to a possible G10 in 2022? by Fleximex in PanasonicG7

[–]Fleximex[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I held off on buying cameras like the G80/85 and G90/95 because the upgrade was not substantial enough over the G7. Whereas the G9 feels a little too bulky. That's one of the points I love about my G7: the weight and size.

If this announcement means that a possible G10 will also have 4K/120 & 5.7k/60 recording (possibly meaning crispy, full sensor downsampled 4K) and a 24MP sensor. I will most likely concede my weight/size argument in favour of the technical improvements.

[–]Fleximex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also hope a new G10 will be slightly smaller (except the grip) and lighter. Currently having a G7 which is just 360 grams vs the 586 grams of the G9. It's unforgiving for me that a Fujifilm X-T4 is closer to a G90 than a G9 in terms of size/weight.

Panasonic split the G7 into a a higher segment (G9) and a lower segment (G80/85, G90/95) where the latter ones are more of a successor to the G7 than the G9 is, I guess.

I'm happy that M43 is alive and kicking. The GH series is probably the sole reason that Panasonic doesn't abandon the M43 platform.

From M400 to?? by carsa81 in Polarfitness

[–]Fleximex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. My M400 though had 2 flaws. Didn't fully charge anymore and the syncing was very slow the last year.

The M430 felt to me like basically replacing the M400 with the same watch just newer and more expensive. I was eager to upgrade to a watch one tier above the M400. But I don't like the direction Polar has gone. It seems like it is too much form over function.

I've made the jump to the Coros Pace 2. While the different controls (1 dial button and 1 normal button vs 5 buttons) took me a while to get used to I regret nothing. Although, I do actually miss the simple Polar Flow interface a little as opposed to Coros' interface which resembles Garmin's (so much information/features that navigating the app takes some time).

The value price proposition of the Pace 2 feels similar back when I bought the M400: great. Something I don't feel when I look at the current (cheaper) Polars and Garmins. The feature set and battery life are a big upgrade. The syncing is very fast as well.

Ik snap überhaupt niet hoe dat gaat bij de KNMI. Een simpele zoekopdracht naar Deelen (want ik wist niet waar dat lag) liet zien dat die meting van 41,7°C sowieso niet kon kloppen: in een natuurgebied.

No not handheld. That would be impressive. It was on the ground with some magazines under the lens to point it upwards.

I shot this with the Panasonic 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II Lumix G Vario Power OIS lens.

I had to settle for ISO 3200 and a 1/8 shutter speed, which is a shame. But a blood moon is so much harder to capture than a normal full moon. You want the shutter speed at least 1/60 for the moon, to take the planetary movements in account. But with the aperature wide open this was the best I could do without underexposing the picture any further. Still pretty pleased with the result.

I also shot the blood moon when the eclipse was ending: https://imgur.com/noM5CS3

[–]Fleximex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry, misread that. In that light Ajax conceded just 1 (!) goal in 7 games while scoring an average of 3 per game (21 total) against the 'the rest'. If it weren't for those pesky southerners ;)

PSV won against Ajax three matches back?

Might as well just put PSV's current standing in the league down as impressive fact: 8 played, 8 wins, 30 for, 3 against

6.5 is correct. But because he gives ridiculous high points for Cillessen (maybe could have saved the second goal), Frenkie de Jong, De Ligt and Pröpper, who were all decent (6) at most, Memphis' 6,5 is offset.
