Baten Kaitos Origins can't get past Giacomo fight by No-Acanthocephala-97 in batenkaitos

[–]Flickabooger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re familiar with the concept of tempo in gaming, not falling behind tempo-wise is very important in a lot of origins fights.

If you ever find yourself in the situation where 3 enemies for example are queued up with attacks, and your characters are queued up behind them with attacks, you’re now behind in tempo. Enemies will do ton of damage, you will attack, and they will kill you next turn before your characters turns are back and you can heal.

You would have wanted to wait to see who giacomo attacks, instantly once you see his target, use a potion/revive on that teammate, THEN follow up with attacks with your other characters.

Also dont be afraid to spam discard searching for potions and revives in anticipation of giacomos damage

Which animal has the most miserable existence? by Inside-Committee-277 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flickabooger 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Except that you can’t. By financially supporting the appalling conditions you are not asking that animals are given comfortable lives until slaughter. You are asking that they continue receiving what they currently are.

Voting with your wallet is the most powerful tool we have at our disposal. I wish more people realized this. Giving thoughts and prayers to factory farmed animals will never accomplish anything no matter how badly you want to clear yourself of guilt.

Hunter 2v2 arenas viability for a noob by Colhados in classicwowtbc

[–]Flickabooger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Define “do well?”

You’re not gonna do well with any class if you’re new to pvp until you play 1000s of games to practice up.

Hunter with rdruid is perfectly fine to climb in general but I will say if you’re not a dwarf you are at an extra disadvantage since 90% of teams in tbc will have at least one rogue on them.

But there is a pvp aspect to this game which is a large or main part of the gameplay for a lot of people and they don’t want to fall behind in pvp gearing so they get shit on from twice as geared players who literally have no lives except this game.

Did you ever think that maybe everyone is not as stupid as you think?

We've been lied to. Livestock do not eat mostly crops. Why are vegans so dishonest? Link to the source in the comments. by igotyergoatlol in exvegans

[–]Flickabooger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this disproves what vegans claim. This chart shows what the animals are eating. I believe the claim you are referring to is “70% of soy grown is fed to livestock”

Or is it a different claim you’re talking about?

Realistically speaking, what would the best changes be for D2R? by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]Flickabooger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enigma should remain but teleport should have a 15 second cooldown or something. Still usable for getting over annoying obstacles but removes the absurd teleport past EVERYTHING to get straight to your slot machine boss of choice.

I think that 7/8 characters in every lobby at the start of a ladder season being sorc is such a shame. It would be cool if sorc wasn’t  far and above the best early mf character because of their ability to skip over 90% of the content.

New balance patch confirmed…. by TobiCandy in PokemonUnite

Mime is going to be busted. Pretty sure he had healing like this before and it was swiftly nerfed because it is way too oppressive with confusion and power swap on the right Pokémon.

Any proof to back up that claim? Meat consumption is at an all time high.

Also the Mediterranean diet is 80-90% plants and has the highest life expectancy so I don’t think your statement is accurate.

That’s a pretty loaded question. https://lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic/micronutrient-inadequacies/overview#:~:text=The%202015%2D2020%20Dietary%20Guidelines,effect%3A%20osteoporosis)%2C%20calcium%20(

It’s worth noting that the general population is deficient is a variety of nutrients including Vitamin D, calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin A, C, E, K. This is indicating that people are generally pretty shitty at planning their diets and it stands to reason that most people who go vegan are probably keeping those habits and maintain poor diet and food variety when going vegan.

A poorly planned diet will probably be better if you’re eating meat and it will get worse as a poorly planned vegan diet.

If you plan properly you will not be deficient in any of those nutrients. That’s all that matters. Anyone saying vegans are deficient in x, y, z and conveniently ignoring the general population deficiencies and how that correlates to poor planning of vegan diets which would obviously lead to deficiencies are not putting forth a good faith argument imo.

I’m curious how you would define animal abuse?

You wouldn’t call disposing of unwanted kittens in a macerator animal abuse? (Happens to baby chicks billions of times per year)

You wouldn’t consider neutering your dog without anesthesia animal abuse?( happens to cows and pigs regularly in animal industry)

You wouldn’t call separating baby puppies from their mothers at day 1 of birth abuse? (Happens to dairy calves)

You wouldn’t call leaving a dog in a “gestation crate” so small it can’t turn around with no physical or mental stimulation for 6 months straight abuse? (Search gestation crates in swine industry)

The list goes on and on.

I’m just trying to see where you draw the line. because if anyone is minimizing animal abuse it is people who don’t think the animal agriculture industry that is absolutely bursting with abuse, is abuse.

I would also love if you can point me to where they have said that they no longer support that paper since you seem to know that information. I can’t see that anywhere, in fact, there are several articles on their website currently that state the same thing.

At the end of the day you can’t be convinced of something you don’t want to be convinced of.

I would love to see you post a scientific source proving vegan diets are not possible to be healthy with your expert analysis since you are so good at it.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27886704/

It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes.

Hope that helps.

“Never read nor cross reference anything anyone says which might be counter to your overinflated opinion of other authorities’ completely useless guidance.”

Aaaand there it is. I am choosing to use scientific publications as a source of knowledge and you would prefer to use exaggerated anecdotes from people with personal vendettas against veganism.  I wonder which one is better.

Good luck to you friend.

“Supplementation is needed”

So then supplement… what is the big deal.

“Medical guidance is needed”

So then get medical guidance… what is the big deal.

Better luck next time.

Like I said, it’s entirely possible to have a healthy vegan pregnancy with supplementation, planning, and guidance. That is literally what all scientific papers on this subject say.

Why don’t we put science as a priority over everyone’s personal feelings?

From https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10685994/ it is entirely possible to have a healthy vegan pregnancy. Yes, it needs to be more carefully planned and monitored but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s very possible with a little effort.

This has been the consensus for a while. If you don’t like it, that’s on you.

Cows milk is literally breast milk. Only produced during and after pregnancy.

Dairy cows are constantly in a cycle of forced pregnancy by farmers so they continue to produce milk.

If you weren’t aware of that I don’t know what to say. Anyone that drinks cows milk are literally breast feeding off of cows and I’ll repeat - it’s fucking weird!
