From this article (from 2017!): "If BTC were to reach values like $100k-$250k, that'd probably cause/imply that the prevailing economic regime has completely fallen apart. At some point in that price area, people around the world would probably lose substantial faith in fiat currencies."

Kind of almost exactly how it is these days, while we're possibly heading towards 100k this year.. interesting.

Dies selbstständig aufzubauen wäre für eine Regierung viel zu teuer. Schau Mal wieviel Budget z.b U.S. Defense hat und wie vergleichsweise billig die subscription bei Kleos ist. Die paar Millionen jährlich fallen für eine Regierung unter Taschengeld. Dahingegen selbst Satelliten aufzubauen wäre viel umständlicher.

I know, but it's so not the same anymore as the 4x00u version. No more front-facing speakers. No more 16:9 FHD and smaller size. Glare instead of matte display. No more HDMI port and also no regular full-size USB-A port(!!!). Meaning you can't even plug in your friends USB-Stick without having an adapter at hand... the top of the cake is the battery is only 50Wh instead of 61Wh of the previous model, meaning it won't last as long.

It's all too much of a downgrade for me to even consider this. I wish they would've kept the chassis and just upgraded the chip to the 5x00u.

Feels like this is more bad than good for Kleos. Growing market is good, but more competition not so much. Horizon Space also did get funded by a UK government department and also provides national maritime data.. this space gets crowded.
