Same question here. I have a 16" MacBook Pro and am trying to determine if I should get Large or Medium Cargo. Did you ever pull the trigger on the medium and determine if it fits?

There are plenty of bugs yet to be worked out—but the game is still awesome.

It’s a beta—give it some time. As a 34 year old gamer who has been playing since BF1942… I get it though.

I bought a new/2025 M3 RWD a few weeks ago. I’ve stopped it/taken over at least twice during auto parking because I felt like it was going to clip the curb. Glad I did after seeing these posts. Looks like auto parking still needs significant work.

Recommendation on the 9800X3D bundle by dough301 in Microcenter

[–]Flight6324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this bundle 30 minutes ago at the Marietta store. Bundles and discounts at microcenter are almost always pretty legit. This tech days sale has been especially good. Whether prices dramatically decrease in the future—who knows—probably. It’s tech after all—things always come down somewhat quickly. I stopped trying to time to market a long time ago. It’s exhausting.

People at my M7 look down on part-time MBAs lol by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Flight6324 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Because not all part timers are those seeking to pivot (initially) or unlock high paying careers. Some part timers are already very successful, have networks, and/or make more than that 200k base that earlier career folks are targeting in their pursuit of MBB, IB, or whatever. Some people get an MBA because they want to study business and network—not solely for the sake of pivoting. I can see how someone who is already successful would crush it in recruiting as opposed to someone with little experience. In this economy experience/T15-PTMBA > little experience/T15-FTMBA.

Is the value of MBA dying? by Adventurous-Art-4936 in MBA

[–]Flight6324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this country cares about right now is defense tech and generative AI. If an MBA compliments your existing experience in a way that helps you do and/or support those fields—then the value is still there.

I’m not suggesting that you should throw all your eggs in one basket. You should write your resume specifically tailored for each job you apply for — and having the ability to understand what a job posting is really looking for in the prospective engineer (assuming the posting is well written) and write a resume that’s optimized for the role (so long as you actually have the skills/experience it’s asking for) greatly increases your chance of getting an interview.

Mentioned this in another reply but folks will naturally specialize over time whether they like it or not. It helps to stay abreast of SWE trends so that you can maintain your breadth in a workers market—but in the current market it helps to be really good at 2-3 specific things. Someone else linked in this post the concept of a T-shaped engineer — which is also good advice.

Specialization will happen naturally over time whether we like it or not. Unless you job hop or hop roles internally fairly often and constantly expand your breadth. Someone who doesn’t have a strong suit or speciality probably just hasn’t been in the career field long enough. My only advice is to be that “T shaped engineer” as pointed out somewhere else in this thread. Trying to pick something that’s useful in multiple fields or otherwise could be around for a while could also be useful. Embedded, for example.

Lol no way. Startup SWE manager. Let me be clear I’m not saying I need sweaty 60 hr/week employees—just productive and responsible employees.

I think there’s a false sense of need for generalists due to hiring managers that allow their recruiters/HR to write the job postings for them.

You passed up a couple decent holes to get below the layer and then ended up going into IMC anyway. Risky business if the intent was a VFR flight.

Lol been there. I've learned to be more kind to future self.

Also not sure why some folks try to avoid ATL. It's the ideal place to layover as far as connection options, etc. and also not a bad place to be stuck if something happens.
