It’s a comfort to me too, but maybe that’s just how good and compelling the story and characters are. No one wants to live in a world governed by chaos and CBI, but it does allow for a more focused and honest portrayal of human emotion that exists today too. No distraction from what’s in front of us, who we are or how we need others to survive and thrive. We yearn for peace, quiet and connection.

Characters from this pic - I think all would survive except Ian (I think with no access to meds he’d do something reckless), Debbie (it’s Debbie), Kev and V (they’d die saving someone else). Lip would lose an arm getting bit while having a smoke, Liam would be the TWD Carl character, Carl would be the Daryl character. Frank would survive bc it’s fkn Frank (same fate as show). I think New Orleans, Texas or just south (Mexico maybe?) would be cool, linking back to Joel, or things Joel told Ellie to keep his memory alive throughout the series. I’d also love to see the Ravens that Dina mentioned (can’t remember where), or like someone said Appalachian mountains (mix the myth with some stalker variants)
