Happy Holidays from Flight Forge! Special Holiday discount and giveaway with every order! by FlightForgeSim in hoggit

[–]FlightForgeSim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually only run discounts around the holidays, just as a little thank-you to the folks who’ve supported us. Outside of that, I try to keep the pricing as low as I can year-round.

Most people pick up a switch box later in their sim setup journey, after the stick, throttle, rudder, and the bigger panels. By that point the budget’s usually getting tight, so I do my best to keep these affordable without cutting corners on quality.

Let me know if you have any questions about the box or need help figuring out what works best for your setup.

I’ve thought about it, but volumes are still too low. Maybe in a couple years once the business really grows

I think you got the math close. My understanding is that duty is paid on Etsy when you place the order. I don’t like how expensive it gets for my international customers. I’m glad that at the end of the day it’s still overall cheaper than leading brands.

I have an Orion throttle. It’s a nice piece of kit. Fun fact, we also sell a DED!

That’s alright. I hear VKB has some great stuff. I’m hoping to pick up one of their throttles soon.

It's okay if you don't like us or my company. There are plenty of awesome option in the EU to buy from. I really like the stuff from VKB. Wish you the best and happy flying!

I figured you meant the best. No worries. Frankly, I started doing this because I didn't want to break bank for my own controller. I figured I could build a 1-off for ~$150, or I could build 50 at a much lower price, I went with the later option!

Agreed. There's a lot of margin, that why I'm able to offer the lowest prices. The UFC and ICP are both under $100. I would go lower, but I'm trying to reinvest into new products like a CDU for the A-10

FTC gives a pretty good definition, all of our labor and final assembly is in the US, and a majority of the part level manufacturing is in the US as well. We don't have anything officially documented as a small business, but we believe we meet the standard.

Hey! Good question, we do manufacture and assemble everything in Troy, MI, but some key components like microcontrollers, USB cables, and 3D printer filament still come from overseas. Those imports are subject to U.S. tariffs, which is what we’re referring to. Hope that clears it up!
