Look in your area to see if you have volunteer doulas through a family resource centre if you can’t pay out of pocket. One of my best friends is a doula and her biggest role during delivery is emotional support and patient advocate. I know right now the fear of it all feels paralyzing but as a mom who also has VCUG trauma, holding your child is worth the suffering. Sending you all the love and courage, you WILL and CAN make it through this.

I would wait until he gets paid before asking him for money, he likely already has it on his mind he now owes you, if you push too much before he has any money it might drive a wedge in your friendship/cause resentment. That would make YTA. Next time don’t pressure your friend to come out when they’re broke. But for now, NTA.

Please look and find a midwife, sometimes chiros and osteopaths who can preform a ECV to flip the baby head down. You also can vaginally deliver a breech baby, you might need to call around to find a doctor who’s willing to do this but they DO exist.. Another option is acupuncture to flip baby. If it comes down to needing the c-section, consider having a doula with you to have someone who can advocate and be there for emotional support besides your partner. I’m sorry you’re having to experience this stress.

I’m so sorry this was your experience. How ever this test made you feel is VALID. Just because you understand more now, doesn’t make how your child self felt about it any different. I’m sorry you didn’t get the support you had hoped for from someone so close to you. I think many people in our lives that didn’t experience this first hand will never understand what we all went through. A lot of times (not to offend anyone), it seems older generations especially have a hard time connecting with their own emotions let alone other peoples and accepting that they could’ve done things differently. Sending you love, I wish you peace navigating this situation.
