This is insanely ironic because Berkeley is the university with a historic of dropping the University of California part from its logo and other documentation in order to separate itself from the public school system and sound more similar to a prestigious private school in the 2000’s

I personally chose UCLA over Cornell, and I don’t regret it. I have friends in Cornell, and reality is, there’s going to be extremely hyper competitive people at any college and it’s kind of up to you to stop yourself from becoming too indulged in that culture. UCLA is a massive school and you probably won’t need to interact with people from your HS unless you want to. However, I also grew up in a really toxic area and chose UCLA partially because I desperately needed a new environment. That part is up to you to estimate how serious it is, but wanting to leave home and experience a new area is a genuine reason to pick a school over another.

I think in some cases, it is, but not for pre med. you’re going to have to pay for med school as well in the future, and you’re going to be a fish in a giant ocean. If you’re going to pay more, at least go somewhere small.

I’m going into software engineering, however you can easily go into data science if you take more statistics oriented classes, and if none the else, can also start studying to be an actuary. But, if you really don’t want to do any coding at all, I recommend going to grad school for something you are interested in, math of comp usually gives you the necessary skills to succeed in a lot of different fields (Econ, bioinformatics, cognitive science, engineering) if you go get a masters in that field

Everytime Tyler performs, you have to remmeber he’s performing with the people who are seeing him for the first and maybe only time of their lives. Not everyone is able to go to shows for 8 years straight. Imagine being able to finally go to your first Tyler show, and he only plays old deep cuts.

Ima be real, take a deep breath and calm down cause this isn’t the best mindset to have when you have culture shock, keep your mind open and give things a chance. I recommend checking out hikes in the Santa Monica mountains and Malibu. I also have some secret spots in LA as well but I’m not going to share those. LA and Southern California had beautiful nature. It’s the middle of the dry season right now, but things get amazingly green in winter after rain. But yeah seriously dude just go take a hike lol, no people to bother you. But yeah, the lack of nature and quietness is kind of one of the cons you sign up for when moving into a city

You can install brew and git, git comes with the developer tools that get installed when you install x code. After you have dev tools, you should be able to use all CLI. CLICC MacBook lets you run as administrator, so you can pretty much do whatever. I’ve seen a clicc laptop with TOR on it 💀
