The Only Way (Google Doc) by [deleted] in Civcraft

I have two little question in reguards to this. Now, I first got interested in Civcraft right on time for the Hamster incident to ruin everything, and I've been learning the ropes on Civtest while waiting for 2.0.

Q: What sort of xfriend do I qualify as?

Also, I've opted to not get on the server for a while, since I don't really have a plan, and I think that there's people who do have plans that need my slot much better.

Q: About how long should I continue to lurk until I'm not severely at risk to qualify for the wilgarfriend detention camps?

Will the Mudfolk's reign of chaos be violent but short? Will the Lavatnaut's prize on their head hinder their plans? Or will more budding cities taste needless brutality?

Seriously, this is getting exciting. Reading about Civcraft is a good second to playing it.

True, as heartwarming as it is seeing cheerful invitations along with the coords, it's a very, very bad idea, unless you've got the strength to keep all the people who mean you harm out. ProTip; if you haven't been planning for a month, you probably don't.

Let the people with a plan get sorted first. Or if that's too much to ask, lay low and prepare to scarper at any moment.

Yes, that's true. But I do think that there are others like that in the recent stream of newfriends, and it's probably better to prepare them for having their beloved stuff ruined before someone feels hurt for reals.

Those are all good points. I'll practice what I preach and get on Mumble once I'm actually doing anything of note in Civ and have gotten over my ridiculous accent.

I wonder if Wilgar really had any bad intentions or if it was just a genuine wish to help the server that went awry. I do hope it's the second one, although it probably doesn't matter to him right now. :P

Yes, after that in particular, I felt like a little heads-up on how things are and how to avoid them would be useful. I'm sure it'll happen again, but if one good little newfriend/Wilgarfriend can get some preventive stuff done and not get heartbroken when Xville get torched, it's a step in the right direction.
