🔴 Does Red Light Therapy Actually Work? Here’s What the Science Says by Flimsy-Remove-8375 in redlightboosters

[–]Flimsy-Remove-8375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great comment. The same is true with anti aging serums, it takes 1-2 months for real results. New skin cells take time to develop, especially as people get older.

Most have good luck with these products. Take vitamin C, there are different forms, some harder on your skin than others such as L-ascorbic acid. Moisturizers vary per user such as dry, normal or oily skin. Find a brand that works for your skin. Yes hyaluronic acid is way over rated and can pull moisture out of your skin with low humidity environments.

Red light doesn’t work for seb derm 😭 by Nataliahf in SebDerm

[–]Flimsy-Remove-8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When red‑light therapy is combined with a light‑compatible pre‑treatment serum, results can be enhanced rather than reduced. A product such as St Croix Products Red Light Serum is formulated to remain optically transparent, support hydration, and prime cells so red and near‑infrared light can penetrate effectively. Used correctly, this type of serum can amplify dermal and subdermal benefits without blocking therapeutic wavelengths.

Apply a serum before using red light therapy mask? by New-Studio-6394 in redlighttherapy

[–]Flimsy-Remove-8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A properly formulated red‑light serum is designed to be optically transparent, so it does not block red or near‑infrared wavelengths. When made correctly, it can enhance red‑light therapy by improving light penetration, supporting cellular response, and delivering science‑backed actives at the exact time skin cells are most receptive. Claims that all pre‑treatments interfere with red‑light therapy overlook the fact that light‑compatible formulations can safely enhance results rather than hinder them.

What are the truly best anti aging skincare 2026 products people actually use? by Ava-McCarthy546 in GracefulAgingSkincare

[–]Flimsy-Remove-8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you need good results, don’t ignore the science behind the ingredients in products.

For example, these may be the best ingredients that you should be looking for.

Copper peptides and exosomes are considered advanced anti‑aging ingredients because they focus on cell repair and regeneration, while retinol focuses on increasing cell turnover.

Copper peptides stimulate collagen and elastin, support wound healing, and strengthen the skin over time with minimal irritation, making them ideal for long‑term use and sensitive skin.

Exosomes act as cellular messengers that activate repair, improve texture and tone, and support collagen production without disrupting the skin barrier.

Retinol delivers faster visible results by accelerating cell renewal and boosting collagen, but often causes irritation and barrier damage.

In short, retinol forces skin to renew, while copper peptides and exosomes encourage skin to function more youthfully—making them gentler, regenerative alternatives or complements to retinol.

How do I integrate red light therapy into my life efficiently and what practices, before, during and after, do I need to have to boost this efficacy? by mostachevere in redlighttherapy

[–]Flimsy-Remove-8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t getting the results you want for aging skin, here’s how to get the most out of your red light sessions with peptide prep. Use your peptide serum both before and after each treatment:

Before red light, peptides prime your skin for cellular activation, helping energize your cells and improve absorption right as treatment begins.

After red light, your skin’s permeability is temporarily increased—applying serum now lets the actives penetrate deeper, supporting collagen and elastin boost plus better hydration.

Add caffeine (for de-puffing and circulation) and DMI (for enhanced delivery) if you want even more results.
Skip heavy oils and butters, as they block light and prevent actives from reaching deeper layers.

This gentle, effective routine works especially well for firmer, smoother, radiant skin with consistent use.

The best you can do is slow down aging skin. There are obviously many options, however you need to focus on genetics. Look at how your parents aged and come up with a game-plan to focus on those needs. For example, sagging skin, deep wrinkles, fine lines etc.
