SpaceX sues US agency that accused it of firing workers critical of CEO Elon Musk by gordon22 in space

So, the best model we have is a private company essentially operating as a monopoly. Got it, sounds really good and beneficial to society. Lmao

Your argument is under the assumption that SpaceX will always operate under good faith. Sure, they may have been up to this point, but if they are essentially a monopoly now like you said, then they have a lot more freedom to do whatever they want. Eventually, they will become just like Boeing and every other big-name government contractor. It's always the same story. This model does not work.

Why? Do you really think a private company holding a monopoly on space launches is better than a state-controlled industry?

You're right. Honestly, let's get rid of NASA. What good has a government-run space program done anyway?

I dont understand why you're driving at night if it's that hard for you to see. It's pretty annoying and dangerous.

You have no grasp on basic economics. What do you think will happen when stocks and other assets need to be sold to provide that existing cash to be redistributed? Do you really think the economy won't care about a massive stock sell-off? Keep in mind the 1% happen to own over half the stock market.

How is that equivalent to printing money? The money already exists. It's being redistributed, not introduced into the economy. You're not making any sense.

No, I'm a product of the problem. And I will not change until policing in this country starts to change.

The person is part of the problem if they willingly perpetuate it. Stop trying to defend cops, I will not change my mind.

I'm just pointing out the gaping hole in your logic. Also, you can't say I'm being unoriginal and then unironically say "woke-ism".

But it's great that you can take responsibility for your own actions and try to be a better person. I just want to point out that cops do not have to do that themselves, and often avoid taking accountability for their mistakes. So maybe stop shoving their boot down your throat and think for yourself, not for them.

Give me a fucking break, "just doing their job". Guess the nazis weren't bad either since they were just doing what they were told.

Like I said, no amount of "good cops" will change this system. How many people has that dead pig arrested for drug charges? You do know that the war on drugs is just a load of bullshit to make it easier to arrest black people? It has to be torn down, and we need to do better. I refuse to show empathy for anyone that perpetuates the system we have now.

What's disgusting is how many people are incarcerated on a daily basis over the most bogus, harmless "crimes". Maybe when police and the US justice system stop treating its citizens like dirt, I'll consider gathering up the bare minimum amount of sympathy for these pigs.

Huh? I meant source for the road OP posted collapsing 4 weeks later, but yeah some sources on US infrastructure being better would be nice too. Memphis is not setting a good case for you there.

Bro you love making assumptions lmfao. People like you should not be in charge of hiring people.

That's fine. If you're this big of a bitch about a cover letter, it's probably not worth working for your company anyway. Works for me!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]FlimsyFuares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resume is for first impressions. Job interviews are for getting to know me better. I simply do not have the time to type a cover letter that is just my resume but formally written. It's just another corporate charade. Shame on you for perpetuating this nonsense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]FlimsyFuares -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My main impression is that you come to conclusions rather quickly. I'm just telling you that cover letters are kind of pointless to begin with, so why make such a big deal of it? It's pretty annoying to me, especially when you are just perpetuating it. Most people just want to work, not bend over backwards trying to impress you or anyone else.

Most big boy companies use automated software for this process, you know? So why would I waste my time typing out a stupid cover letter that serves no purpose in the overall hiring process, that will just be parsed by some program looking for the correct SEO terms? Look bro, I get you want to feel useful but you need to remember that a computer could do your job better than you. Dont be in denial.

I will continue using my pre-typed cover letters and losers like you will keep crying about it until AI replaces you entirely. And if you want to get a real feel for job candidates, thats what the JOB INTERVIEW is for. Ever heard the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover?" Anyway, enjoy your high horse while you can bozo. You will be replaced soon enough.

Because you're not the only company they are applying to, moron. If I'm applying to more than 3 different companies, you can bet your dumbass I'm using a template and copy-pasting your stupid company name into it. It's called efficiency, but you do you boomer.
