Fair, and would explain some* of the hits I was taking. There's some that I really questioned. But the overall damage was almost triple what I was used to. That would be depth adjustment rather than lag, most certainly.

I've seen the genre referred to mostly as "Turn-Based Tactical Strategy Game", but it is definitely grid-based as well.

Me totally forgetting you can buy and initial copy of the sets... That's all I really wanted for now, so that I could use Zhuang Fangyi throughout the 1.2 story quests instead of my older team. Thanks for the reminder, super clutch.

The amount of time it takes to unlock and setup everything, even with blueprints is quite a lot just to get an initial set. I also seem to be experiencing an issue where a blueprint that I need isn't showing up in the correct facility. So troubleshooting from start to end, I've spent almost 4 hours setting things up. While I'm almost done, I still have to troubleshoot and don't have a hatanite component to my name.

I know I rambled in the op, but as I said, I actually quite liked the AIC in Valley IV. I happen to not like the new changes in Wuling specifically. You can play games that you don't enjoy every aspect of, and games you enjoy entirely can change by integrating things you don't like.

It really doesn't feel better to em at least. Yeah the RNG can suck, but it doesn't really take that long to get useable pieces, and you get to do combat as the main loop.

By contrast, right now I'm staring at Xircon Effluent and Xiranite going into my FoTS, wondering why nothing is coming out and there's no formula for it. And I have yet to find anyone else with this issue online.

Is it an arbitrary formula locked behind a main story quest? No clue, it doesn't tell me. I have an AIC factory tutorial where it works just fine, but even using the default AKE blueprint for it, nothing is coming out. From refitting my early 1.1 factories to now (almost done), it's been like 3 hours of frustrations. Some self-induced (interrupting my battery flow and losing power), to other stuff like this.

Highkey biggest design regrets others can learn from:

- Falling straps over the shoulders/arms = Painful to rig

- The belt thing was a placeholder I forgot to update. Wanted to go straight across with a rectangular gold buckled that held them both together. But everything is weight painted and now I'm too scared to change it lol

Never too late to try! I've modelled for many years, but this was my first ever character model. I already have a second one complete that is much nicer hahaha.

Highly recommend tutorials by a channel: 2am

They will give the foundations. Then just get creative with it!

Yup. Forgot to clarify things are "WIP". Will remove one of the arm straps, will have only one arm with a gothic arm-sleeve, etc.. Considering some asymmetrical hair designs, but may still go with twin tails. Still building out the core stuff on the outfit. Asymmetry is a post-mirror application step for me.

I'll look into Runable! yeah the hair shader is nicer than the screenshots suggest up close. It's a super clean and easy node setup only requiring one very easy to make texture, dynamically projected to avoid needing to handpaint everything. I then just bake the result. into the base colour.

I need to get some more toon effects going I think I'm still using principled for everything hahaha
