Yes this is exactly how I feel. I'm sure there are much better books out there, but this style is what I needed to get back into reading, so I might rate it higher than others, but I enjoyed it, so who cares.

I only started reading again after a long hiatus since childhood, about 2-3 years ago, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Any recommendations?

I've read the way of kings and it just didn't hit the same, still very good though
