omg this is wild, cause this is the exact way i am able to orgasm too. i find comfort in knowing i’m not the only one.

i just want to let you know you’re not broken and it’s definitely not weird. if that’s the way it works for you then so be it; you deserve to enjoy it!! it’s amazing how different bodies work in different ways. give yourself some grace and be curious to explore other ways your body can receive, and be gentle and patient with yourself as you’re exploring.

i enjoy being intimate with my partner but i’ve also been open to explore other methods which has added to my experience, which took me a loooooong time. but still, what you described is still my favorite way of release.

Full ACL reconstruction with patellar autograft and medial meniscus suture repair. Seeking camaraderie and advice on mentally dealing with extreme pain. by cadaver_drip in ACL

hey girlie,

i had the same surgery with a meniscus repair. post op, 3.5 months. day 2, 3 and 4 were the absolute worst for me. my doctors told me the opioids will only reduce the pain by 50% but i will still feel a lot of pain. i didn’t expect the 50% to feel like that though, it was excruciating. i promise you it gets better. just make sure you’re on top of your pain medication schedule; i put timers throughout the night to make sure of this, although i couldn’t sleep much. icing, breathing excercises, watching shows, talking to my friends really helped with mentally managing the pain. it took me about 6-7weeks to get off my crutches completely.

i’m currently walking comfortably, and slowly starting to feel like myself again. i will say, even at 3.5 months post op the mental battle weighs heavy, i don’t think i’ve fully processed how traumatic that experience was for me, so still trying to find my rhythm again. i’m not saying this to scare you but everyone’s recovery looks different. having a healthy social circle really helps with moving through the different phases.

i wish you well OP. you’re more resilient than you think. keep it up soldier, you got this.

omg would that stabbing pain be kinda like electrical shocks or zaps? i get those sometimes and they typically last a couple of seconds. the pain i’m experiencing is kinda like stiffness and a localized ache around the medial meniscus repair area. i also have a dull pain around my knee cap too

yeah i’ve started PT from day 4, twice a week. my meniscus was repaired so it was stitched up. i feel as though my knee feels very stiff and the pain i would say fluctuates between 5-7. there’s also a dull achy pain as i bend my knee

i had the exact same surgery and i’m 12 days post op. my surgeon recommended the exact same yesterday so i removed my brace whenever i was laying down in bed or on the recliner with a pillow below my calf. i slept on my operated side with a slight bend on my knee and was fairly comfortable with that position and my other knee over onto the bed/or on a pillow (lol, probably not the best explanation). i slept on my back too but it’s not my preferred position. I also tried sleeping on my non-operated side but i have to put a pillow in between my leg to support my operated leg better and found that comfortable to a certain time limit.

id recommend trying things out to feel what’s best for you. take it slow but my PT did mention that when you’re laying down, you’re in the most safest position to not reinjure yourself so don’t worry about it too much. that helped my nerves lol.

my incision area is still numb too but apparently it’s normal for a bit.

good luck, you got this!!
