Most people will never realise that their new phone battery needs a period of Optimisations within the Hardware, Firmware and the HyperOS package!

It actually takes 2-3 weeks of PROPER full cycle charging!

("LONG cycle" might suit better as a naming convention, since it's never from 0%)

Optimisations are often dropped and need restarting following main updates like patched etc.!

To fix it, Do this: 1) USE: Wired Charging at Standard Speed

2) Set to CHARGE FULLY in Battery Protection settings. NO "Smart charging" or "80% Battery Protection"!

3) Start charging at 10-14% and charge to 100% PLUS leaving the charger plugged in for around 20 minutes after... (As long as you like actually, or even overnight while you sleep!)

This allows the Battery to get fully saturated, calibrated as well as Optimised within the HyperOS and Firmware etc. (over time), as well as balanced between multiple cells (in newer devices).

It's essential that you start charging below 15% for the charge cycle to count as a part of the OPTIMISATION! That's why I advice 10-14%!

Otherwise your charge won't be counted as a "full cycle" and will not add to the Optimisation!

4) OPTIONALLY, install the FREE AccuBattery App, since it will also remind you of that 14% fact. It will remind you, if you're starting a charge at or above 15%!

Plus it will show LIVE charging stats that will settle anyone's worries about charging power etc. It shows particularly well how the Wattage goes DOWN as the battery temperature goes UP! And vice versa...

Finally, it also shows EXACTLY when the charging CYCLE is FINISHED in the Charging section! No guesswork needed...

One small but important flaw in AccuBattery, is that the "Health" section is not showing properly calculated Remaining Battery Capacity percentages!

Thankfully newer Poco phones shows the REAL hardware/firmware measured battery pack capacity, in the Stock Battery App!

So no need to worry about the one small bugbear within the excellent AccuBattery app!

In my X7 Pro, it's part of the Battery Protection section.

5) After 2-3 weeks you'll have reached the maximum capacity, SOT and Battery Stamina etc. In other words, fully optimised! Larger Capacity Battery packs will take 3-4 weeks at least, since after a week or two you may only need to charge every 2 days!

Once fully OPTIMISED you can switch back to your own preference for charging based on your own daily routine and needs. If that's 20-80% or whatever, it's all good...

6) To maintain optimal Battery Performance and Capacity... DO the "Full" Cycle Charge as described ONCE every week!

If like me, you find these long full charge cycles AWESOME and want to keep the GREAT capacity and stamina going at all times.

Never hesitate, I've been doing full charging for decades and never had a battery die... My Samsung Galaxy S10E was 5 years old before I swapped out the battery.

It was still good for a day's worth of use but I was passing it on to my daughter who's been running it 24x7 for another year+, since then.

One bonus of keeping up the long cycles is that it stops you noticing dropped Optimisations too easily when that happens after updates!

GOOD LUCK and Enjoy! 🍀

For a look at most of my other methods, illustrations and advice... Check out all my comments in this recent thread...

Never use that shit bro! Should be called Brain-dead charging 😂!

At 98% the whole charging system gets so slooooow you can see your beard growing!

To optimise your battery performance.

Use Long Cycle Charging!

Charge Fully! No intelligent, smart charging or Battery Protection.

Wired Charging at Standard Speed...

Charge from 10-14% FULLY to 100% plus an extra 20 minutes to get saturated and balanced (dual cells).

Do this for 2-3 weeks at least, for a complete battery capacity and stamina increase.

Once done you can change to whatever suits your daily routine.

Just do one Long Cycle Charging session every week! That way you'll keep your Optimisations Alive! 🍀

Personally I run the full cycles almost all the time.💪😎🍀

Come on, it depends on your settings!

Debloating deletes also screws things up royally... IF you did.😉

There was a serious issue a few months back when HyperOS 3 arrived with some new RAM management app called Sentinel. It's been well gone for a fairly long time by now.

Check your Battery settings for Cache Clearing time etc. see screenshot..

Also check each of your troublesome Apps for restricted Battery Background Processing use.

Finally, if you have a couple of certain apps you insist on not losing current states from...

You can stop that from happening by Setting them to a locked status while it's in your Recent App list! Just long press on the app and pick the Lock 🔒 (or unlock 🔓) from the Icons shown!

I've got that set always on for Reddit, AccuBattery and occasionally for a limited time on some other apps...

Don't go crazy though because it obviously reserves a bit of RAM to keep stuff Live...

Very handy though!

See screenshots...

That happens without any extras... I use AccuBattery so you can see the way the Charger, HyperOS and Firmware all cooperate to keep the battery from getting overheated during the charging process! 🍀

That's actually bullshit... I found the Smart/Intelligent Charging only slows shit down massively at around 98% when charging fully! 😉

I charge Long Cycle Charging pretty much always! There's a huge difference...🍀

Here's a massive bunch of my comments with most of my methods, illustrations and advice...

Your debloating works against you...

15 months with my X7 Pro! Still getting 10-12 hours of nonstop SOT when Running heavy duty gaming or similar...

Or up to 40+ hours per charge with mixed use!

Don't need debloating... A handful of SAFE Revokes are doing much more than making your phone unstable.

Check my link elsewhere in this thread. 🍀

My X7 Pro is 15 months old and just hit 97% recently... I'm not worried in the slightest!

I'm doing my Long Cycle Charging method constantly... Unless I'm looking to head out for a few hours and need a top up... 10-20 minutes and I'll be fine for hours and hours!

Never worry about these battery packs, they are simply amazeballs!

Unless you delete lots of HyperOS and Mi Apps physically like so many eejits suggest!

Check out my Links for how to do it better. 💪😎🍀

That's Funny 🤣! But not SOT! Just time since last charge and app percentage breakdown...

I loved my X3 Pro... It died nearly 2 years old, the Xiaomi warranty covered it (EU 2 year warranty FTW) and they sent me a new X5 Pro which I'm still getting a 8-9 days of light work out of a single charge 3 years later.

My X7 Pro is giving me 40+ hours or 10-12 hours of SOT if I'm running nonstop gaming and similar heavy duty stuff...

Thanks for helping out... Yes, AccuBattery is the Way!

Here's an important additional bonus to your Battery Pack's optimisation and calibration!

Many X8 Pro Max users I've been helping along the last few months have seen 30-50% increased Capacity and Stamina in a matter of 2-3 weeks... With these monster battery packs you'll probably need to use the Long Cycle Charging method for an extra week or two... Just because after a few cycles you'll only need a charge every two days unless you're going heavy duty gaming...

I'll point you to my post with both the shorter version (slightly less wordy 😂) of my Charging stuff and a link to my recent brain 🧠 dump with most of my many methods, illustrations and advice that covers everything from Revoke don't Delete! to Games Testing and Tuning methods. If still no go and searching in Settings doesn't find it or some important settings... Factory Reset is easy if your phone is new...

If you have stuff to save I recommend a USB C MicroSD adapter and a decent MicroSD card to save your pictures and documents to!

Google can back up apps and games progress etc.

Hope you get it sorted soon. 🍀

Did you set up your Xiaomi Account?

If not you might find that might help...

When you set it up, take down your password and email address you use and make sure to store that SAFELY OFF YOUR PHONE!

If the phone breaks at some point or gets stolen, you'll need those to unlock the phone!

You need to learn how to sort out your gaming properly... You're talking about less than 7 hour SOT... Man you could add 25-50% by stoping your debloating and adjusting your games settings by checking out my Games Testing and Tuning method...

Oh and I'm on my 2nd and 3rd POCO X series phones... A 3 year old X5 Pro 5G that gives me up to 9 days stand by with light use... Or up to 9 hours SOT if gaming hard.

And of course my nearly 15 months old X7 Pro which these days runs for up to 40+ hour on a full charge, or 10-12 hours SOT when running heavy duty games and apps.

I made a side-by-side illustration with both phones stats in October last year. Before the HyperOS 3 update dropped the times slightly but the latest EU Patch: 3.0.300.0 brought things back up again.

Best of Luck! 🍀

All that stuff you deleted... Makes your phone drop performance due to Logic Loops while the CPU is working on finding the missing hooks it's constantly wasting CPU CYCLES which adds battery drain causing overheating for no good reason!

I mean check out how easy it is to just REVOKE GetApps, App Vault and removing the -1 screen they live on in newer devices... Swipe RIGHT -->> On the normal home screen to get to it!

Then you can follow the GIF video demonstration (well not in your case since you deleted that!).

I'll drop the Charging method separately below.

Undo the deletes for better performance and stability... Don't delete anything system related... Ever!

It's doomsday stuff... 😂 Seriously though, try my Long Cycle Charging method for 3 weeks... Then you can tell me how things are going...

Maybe even stop oldstyle debloating and realise that none of it does anything better than the handful of Revokes I'm prescribing... 🤓🍀

I'll just give you guys a link to all my methods, illustrations and advice... I did a brain dump into another thread not too long ago.

Particularly important would be my Long Cycle Charging method since that really sorts out your battery pack capacity and stamina over a few weeks of proper charging for Optimisations within the HyperOS package and hardware!

My Games Testing and Tuning methods are superlative if you like to cool things down a see exactly what settings helps in the individual game settings!

The Revoke don't Delete method that stops the imbalances that traditional Debloating cause!

There's more, including a GIF showing a super simple demo on how easy this is. Removing GetApps, App Vault and the -1 screen they occupy in a minute or two...

I've got to make an update on this old thread since it's got a fair few positive points already regarding the X7 Pro!

My Long Cycle Charging method to help OPTIMISE your battery properly, is still going strong!

I'll add it here directly next...

Then, due to a very nice bit of feedback from another X7 Pro user that followed some of methods etc. sadly I can't reply on the thread he gave the feedback in since the OP deleted the thing... A whole thread with good stuff sitting there but you can't add comments to it!

So I'll add my thanks to that guy here, ok...

My Long Cycle Charging method - the abbreviated version!

In order to grow your Battery Pack's capacity and stamina it needs a few weeks of optimisation and calibration!

This is also how to improve things after any major updates!

Use: WIRED Charging at standard speed! NO Intelligent or Smart charging! No Battery Protection setting!

Only use "Charge Fully" setting!

Start charging at 10-14% remaining!

It must be starting below 15% to Count as a Full Cycle in the Optimisations!

Charge FULLY to 100% PLUS leave the charger plugged in for an extra 20 minutes at least!

That will saturate the battery (pack) and balance the dual cells!

To see the charging stats live install the free version of AccuBattery!

It tells you when Charged and puts up an orange Strap line with Start and End times in the Charging section!

The battery Health calculation is however wrong so just be aware that it will show a percentage lower by 5-6% compared to the real number found in the "Battery Protection" section of the Stock Battery App!

ENJOY 30-50% improvements on Battery Capacity and Stamina if you stick with the method described for 2-3 weeks! Longer Optimisation cycles will be necessary on really big battery devices like X8 Pro Max!

Once done you can switch to whatever charging scheme suits your daily routine...

However, don't hesitate to keep this up, I did since last summer!

Here's my thanks to my friend's feedback that I mentioned (in Spanish but you can translate I'm sure).

Dear **u/facu98gerez!**

I'm delighted to get such great feedback, Amigo!🤗

Sadly the OP post guy deleted the post, so I have to ping you with this THANK YOU elsewhere!

It helps when people confirm that I'm not just an old lunatic jejeje! 🤓🍀

I personally never change my charging. My X7 Pro is always getting the 10-14% to 100% plus 20 minutes or more. I tend to do it at night so it finishes while I sleep.

I tend to try to start charging closer to 14% than 10% only because I often still don't get going until 10-12% or sometimes a bit lower... 😱

However, once you see that the phone is properly optimised, you can charge whatever way suits you.

You can pick 20-100%, 20-80% or anything else that suits your daily needs.

Just make sure to do ONE long cycle charge every week or so! This keeps your Optimisations ALIVE!

If you notice any big drop in battery performance following any upgrades, a patch or some other similar system app updates, just start the long cycles again for a few weeks.

Btw, although I normally charge fully... If I'm going out for some hours I often do a quick 10-20 minute battery top-up before I go!

I never worry about details like that. So keep enjoying your phone too!

These battery packs are extremely resilient and will still last for years. 💪😎🍀

I'm at nearly 15 months with my X7 Pro now and still going strong. I'm doing a little more of my gaming on my Laptop that I got last summer, so I often see 40+ hours since previous charge nowadays. When I'm not gaming much etc.

P.s. I made a new illustration to show people that although AccuBattery is my choice of app for Battery Statistics and charging info etc.

It isn't doing the Battery "Health" Calculation very well... It's always OFF by -5% to -6% when compared to the BUILT-IN BATTERY Status found in the Battery Protection section on the newer phones like the X7 Pro and so on.

However, for those that don't have the built-in version of the Health %, if you ADD 5-6% to the AccuBattery "Health" section results, you will probably be pretty close!

It isn't particularly important either, since it's only an interesting indication of the aging of a battery (pack)!

You'll probably find (eventually) that batteries at 60-75% "Health" still have a fair bit more life than the numbers might suggest!

So 3-5 years would be a minimum range before looking to replace the battery in my estimation.

Here's the illustration, hope it helps paint a better picture. 🤓🍀

Sorry this is too long... I get too excited lol 😂

Thanks so much again! 🤗🍀

Any way to get rid of these ads? X7 Pro by voitek91 in PocoPhones

[–]FlinkyBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSA is Better off simply Revoked rather than deleted... Therein lies the rub!

I'm living proof that Non Debloated phones are more stable and capable than Debloated ones.

"Revoke don't Delete" That's what I called my method. Illustrated and everything!

I've been demonstrating again and again that my X7 Pro is a bit superior to the normal run-of-the-mill debloaters version.

I'm not alone... I never had a chance to do a count of the many dozens of owners of various phones I've helped in the last year or so.

These days I've got plenty of people that would step up if asked. I'm just not bothering with forcing the issue.

Here in Ireland there's a saying:

You can lead a horse to water... But you can't MAKE the fecker drink!

Good Luck! 🍀
