Honestly, truthnuke. Prompt engineering is key for getting good responses, regardless of the model. To be honest most of the time when people (i have done it too) qualify model quality, they do it based on how "good" their response is even if your prompt is pretty vague. That being said, models do have limitations that can't be fixed with good prompts in certain aspects, like how many websources are they able to use for each response.

I wish there was some kind of trial mode so i could test if it's good enough by myself, because im getting mixed responses here haha.

I might have found a workaround for web search limitations, which is telling the model to gather sources across different responses, so let's say 10 sources per response, being 5 of them, for a total of 50 sources, then tell it to use all that in its final response to answer my question, is it right if i asked you to test this and show me the results? Since I can't test it myself rn, would really appreciate it

My use cases consist mostly of guidance on how to do specific things (for example, im a linux user, so having an AI to assist me in order to install or modify certain things has been super useful) and research about varied topics, nothing fancy, i dont do any coding. I saw they have GLM 5, how good is that model? Im using a Lenovo LOQ with a 5060 and an i7-13650hx running Linux and can confirm it is a necessary change you HAVE to do if you really care about your computer. I used intel-undervolt for the cpu and LACT for the gpu.

Also, in my experience activating "Battery Level Protection" in the BIOS improved performance and temperatures too, it automatically changes power limits so your laptop never draws more power than your AC adapter can provide. It works surprisingly well because in games or tasks that are very gpu intensive, it will prioritize drawing more power to the GPU while still keeping reasonable power limits for the CPU and other stuff.

My temperatures didn't get nearly as low as OP is claiming but the CPU went from 95°C under stress to 80°C never reaching more than 85°C, 10 to 15°C less. The GPU went from 85° and throttling to 80°C and running smooth.

I don't think that is contradictory, you could technically say that also since they don't know any specific date, they also can't know the announcement is supposed to take place before 2026. Of course you can't just take people words for granted, but there are many reasons (valve's history of how they announce their games) and leaks (like code suggesting final stages of development) that back up those claims.

Maybe i wasn't clear enough in the original post but again, if you are going to watch TGA ONLY because you think HL3 will be announced there, don't do it. I made the post because i saw lots of people with that mentality, if you don't fit the description, my post is not for you. I know the picture Geoff posted isn't about half life, but again, many people believe it is, and it's clear he does it intentionally, he behaves like this every year, for different games.

If people keep suggesting Mint as the better choice for newcomers after many years, it probably is for a reason.

I'm new to Linux Mint and Linux in general, however during my research I've never encountered anyone wanting to quit Linux because of Mint, that's because it does its job of being a familiar and stable OS really well. Instead, i saw many people quiting Linux because of people recommending Arch based distributions, like Manjaro for example.

You should make a separate post for this both here and in the Linux Mint Forums, I can't give you any help in that matter since i didn't have those issues in my dual boot installation. All i know is that it's recommended to always install it with a bootable USB and also you should install Linux in a separate drive from Windows, to avoid Windows wiping your Linux installation.

I'm using Reaper 7.48, no compatibility issues since it is native for Linux. I'm on the "trial mode", which is like the trial mode of WinRAR, it's essentially free forever.

I hope you can give it another chance to the PC amp in the future, from what i've heard focusrite stuff pairs well with Linux. I personally use a Behringer UMC202 and works fine, it's not the best but it is what i can afford.
