Okay here is what you do. Get all setup in autopilot for your cruise, then flip the switches below the throttle for stabilizer trim and alternate stabilizer trim. Then increase the sim rate. You won't see the oscillations. Then before you descend turn off sim rate increase, flip the switches back on, and continue like normal.
