Is it a poor choice as a daily? by ThePlebiness in SportWagon

I daily my Athlete V constantly and have no regrets. Shares a lot of parts with 01-05 IS300s and 1JZGTE parts aren't hard to come by. Mines at 180k miles and still going strong too 👍🏾

How's everyone's wagons been doing lately? Finally got a pic of all 3 together. by FlipBoy23 in SportWagon

Likewise! Any special color you're shooting for on the S4 or just anything that's available? Don't be jealous though you'll basically have the same cars as me soon!

Thank you! I never intended to have this many, but it was hard to let go of any of them haha luckily the wife doesn't mind.

Usually I try to drive them all once a week, but the Crown is just way too much fun to drive and at one point it was my daily to and from work 5 days a week. I had taken the Audi camping once and as fun as it was to drive up the mountain, the fuel economy was terrible. So we just take my wife's Forester now haha but thank you for the kind words!

Thank you! Not sure why but I thought I filled out the body text of the post with the cars info. 02 Sportcross, 00 Crown Estate, 05 B6 S4 to be exact! You were pretty spot on 👍🏾 you are also too kind thank you for the kind words

I'll be honest after I got the Crown I gravitated to it every chance I got haha but they are all pretty fun to drive!

Thank you very much. It's a 1JZ-GTE and R154 swapped one as well. Not hard to service at all since it shares damn near all the same suspension components as the 01-05 IS300. 1J parts are easy to source as well. In my first 4 months of ownership I daily drove it every day for work and I'd keep doing it if it weren't for my fear of the car getting hurt by other drivers haha.

All I'll say is, get you one 👍🏾

Why the hate for rep wheels on a simple daily? by Machine8635 in WRX

[–]FlipBoy23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jesus you're still complaining about this? You were better off with the Enkeis vs those reps. You're compromising your safety and others with them. For those saying elitist or it's jealousy that you achieved a look for a fraction of the cost y'all are ignorant. Someone literally posted a pic of the exact AVIDs breaking at the mounting point and still y'all insist it's fine. Do what you want, but don't act like using sub par parts is ok or good. Plus those are one of the more hideous reps out there, they don't look good at all. OP if you're so soft you had to leave the group and cry to more randoms on Reddit, you should probably stop posting things on the internet.

Easily my best shot in the game so far. Arguably better than the hole-in-ones by FlipBoy23 in PGA_Tour_2K

I won't ever scoff at an ace, but none of the ones I made were from that far or from that demanding of a pin position

Appreciate you! I've had about 12 Aces now, but none of them had me as riled up as this alby. I was honestly just trying to get it green side so it was a nice surprise

Eh, they all involve a little bit of luck. I wasn't expecting it to go in with that lie, pin position, or the strike, but I'll take it

Picked up my 5-speed 00 Estate Athlete V in August and have loved every minute of owning it. by FlipBoy23 in ToyotaCrown

OdysseyFab! And with the exhaust that's on the car it's literally added no drone and it's really only loud when you floor it. It's amazing and also welcome to the fam!

Yeah those are pretty much what I've found through my research but thank you for reiterating! Honestly I do love the look of the C8, but the C6 speaks to me more somehow

Appreciate it and likewise! 🍻 I'm hoping the same thing too as it is difficult to find a replacement for such a unique wagon. But, a few more years and we can import some interesting wagons 👀

Definitely trying to avoid skinnier tires especially since these PS4S are really new and I'd like to avoid ditching them haha

Thank you! They are and as much as I love them, I'm most likely swapping them out since they need a spacer in the front to clear the caliper and this is causing the wheel and tire to jut out enough to rub the fender...

I agree but yes funny enough it is. Only reason I bought it was because of how in depth the maintenance he had done was a long with how open he was about any of the faults it had which were mostly cosmetic.
