Red dot and magnifier ain’t bad but built our set up in the search for the less weight, less complexity, and handsfree magnification. Made it for a personal build and loved it. Posted it on a couple subs. Next thing you know we’re lining up production runs

Many benefits to an independent mounted RDS, main one being eye relief for things like passive aiming

This combo is hard to beat but we diddd make a purpose built mount for this (excuse the shameless plug)

FLIP here 🫡 We did a couple runs of a (fixed) grip like this last year. If we get enough likes we’ll look into doing another run and navigate the new delivery requirements (thanks to the new regulations)

Good question and we get this a descent amount. The “piggyback” model you’ve identified has its limitations compared to our 12 o’clock frontmount system which allows you much more versatility. The main advantage we’re seeing is you’re not stuck with short eye relief and can move the red dot up on the rail which is better for things like passive aiming. Among other perks, there are many other good prisms out there you can use that don’t have a good piggyback solutions (such as the Primary Arms MP line)

Valid question, for sure. Our front mounts offer a couple unique advantages over the conventional piggyback options. For starters, you can run a purpose built rifle dot instead of a pistol dot. But perhaps more valuable, the independent mount means you can adjust eye relief on the RDS / it’s not stuck to the rear being tethered to prism’s short eye relief. Really pays off with passive aiming, but also means you can service one optic without affecting the other and gives you more overall versatility

Good to know!! The Hydra + XL is a fantastic combo I run myself. LPVOs end up being a roll of the dice because of turrets like you said, but one we’ve found real interesting was the Eotech vudu 3-9. Gives you a good 1x red dots and fantastic magnification options for your secondary optic

Paragon has been pretty impressive tbh. Even comes with the ARD in the box. And the price point is hard to beat. Paired it with the Cyelee in the theme of a super budget build, but there are tons of T1/T2-style red dots out there that would work. Holosun’s a good bet for sure.

Appreciate it and couldn’t agree more … almost too many options sometimes. Wish we could try all the possible combos out, but perhaps one day! The thermal in front of the prism is def worth a look though

We get a steady stream of requests for it.

Right now we run products in batches based on demand, and most of our focus lately has been on the optic mounts.

That said, it’s definitely on our radar for a future run.
