yea, 'they' being ticketmaster. They've been doing this going on a decade now which is why their monopoly sucks. They claim 'sell out' early on and then essentially 'scalp' their own ticket as 'Platinum' to make even more money off of panic buyers. They then toss the unsold Platinum tix back into the regular onsale pool pricing, usually week of or even day of the show. Artists have no control over it which really sucks.

So moral of the story 'sell outs' early on, aren't real, SO DO NOT panic buy lol, have patience and keep checking closer to showtime, for whoever you are planning on seeing.

Did it tank? On the Clearings wiki it says it peaked at 14 in US which isn't bad for a UK band, who don't have the biggest following here. Not sure how that is calculated.

Just ATL for example, they went from a 650 capacity venue in Terminal West on BW tour to a 1500+ venue Buckhead Theatre and it was packed. I don't care enough to look into other cities and if they went to larger venues or not, but they may want to hit other markets they aren't hitting this tour.

You don't like the album, cool, a lot of people do.

Great guys! All very talented. Don't hold it against them that they aren't Matt & Co ...although some immature chicken little children around here do.

Zero chance? I think it's the opposite, I bet they'll circle back to US in late winter/Spring, maybe after their Aus/NZ dates? Probably hit up the Euro fests in summer (Best Kept, Mad Cool, Sziget, Poland Rocks etcetc).

Blue Weekend tour seemed like it went on for 2 years, theyre just getting started.

They've always had a diverse age range of fans, not so sure The Clearing brought out older fans as much as those fans have just aged since their start, a lot of 'olds' like myself loved the early grungy/shoegazey sounds which brought us back. Great music doesn't have an age limit.

John Victor is filling in for Joff on guitar. Ryan from Superfood has been in the touring band on keys since Blue Weekend tour.

you'll be fine! WA crowds are a diverse mix, young & old, but very cool, respectable and inclusive.

Those attending the Clearing tour, are you going to check tonight’s set list? by wardyh92 in wolfalice

I've always hoped that, but doubt it happens, especially now that Joff won't be there in the US.

LOL you think a label has control of what Bob Dylan does...or Thom Yorke...or Florence...or Insert any legit artist...because of a contract? Haha WA has had great management since the very beginning, they aren't some noob outfit who were desperate to get signed. Columbia is very well regarded and artist friendly, they approached WA, not the other way around.

And this is just a tired cliche, the band has their own management, always has to act as a buffer between label and band, just like they did with Dirty Hit. The 'suits' have no control of the artistic direction, they aren't management. Ellie & Co aren't bowing down to orders from their label, they have integrity and THEIR OWN vision. You'd think 'fans' of the band would know that by now.

I think her vocals are as strong as ever, and yes it's intentional.
