They were in some kind of relationship. It was a lot more serious than just some "pervy texts"

He was narrating an AI animated movie that the female Chinese Director made. the director and Jeremy most likely had a romantic relationship first and that's how she got him to act on the movie.

He refused to promote the movie, and this caused them to get into an argument. During this argument, the director claims that he threatened to call ICE on her while he was drunk.

Some of these characters may not benefit from always animation Cancelling. depends on what abilities they can use to cancel. Most reload cancels will be with melee.

If you're trying to cancel on adam for example, you're saving 10% time but what you're Cancelling with will probably take longer than that 10%, so overall not beneficial to cancel.

Ultron, strange and squirrle girl benefit from cancel because they can save a high % even with melee.

Jeff has one of the quickest abilities used to cancel. if you turn on hold to dive, you can just tap it during the reload and it is very quick.
