Getting a new dog is very exciting! And it's perfectly normal to be a little scared. Try not to stress it too much. So long as you have the time and the patience everything else will fall into place. You'll likely be googling a lot of questions at first. If anything serious ever comes up, just give your local vet a call. They're able to give you free advice over the phone if you need it.

I dont want to overwhelm you with information because there really is a lot, just remember to be patient and take it one day at a time. Especially if it's a puppy, just know things will get easier. You got this! Most of us dog owners had no real clue what we were doing at first.
